Legendary Miracle Worker Light Cruiser

Beauty Shot

Overview

The Legendary Miracle Worker Light Cruiser is manifestation of Starfleet’s dedication to duty, exploration and problem solving. Based on standards set by Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott during his service on the Constitution-class U.S.S. Enterprise, the Legendary Miracle Worker Light Cruiser features Innovation Mechanics, a Cruiser Command Array, 4 fore and aft weapons, a Corbomite Device and Ionized Gas Sensor, and a Universal Console Slot. The Legendary Miracle Worker Light Cruiser is the true definition of a legend, and because of its exploits, history will never forget the name Enterprise.

Strengths

In addition to being, quite likely, the most iconic startship ever, the Legendary Miracle Worker Light Cruiser is a rather impressively-built cruiser in a small, maneuverable package. Capable of holding its own against newer ships many times its size, the original is still very much one of the best ships in multiple quadrants.

Equipment

This build uses easily-obtained equipment, including only standard gear and pieces which can be obtained through Fleet Holdings and/or mission rewards. See below for upgrade suggestions using more difficult-to-obtain gear.

Clearly, upgrading gear to Mark XV and Epic quality will provide the best results. However, see the Suggested Upgrades section below before heavily investing in gear you may be replacing before long.

We've taken a semi-canon approach to the build of this classic ship, utilizing beams and torpedoes, with some variations. Due to limitations on the types of TOS weapons available, we'll be using some non-canon stuff here, and we'll be utilizing the Mixed Armaments Synergy ability from the Miracle Worker specification, so a turret will be added to trigger those damage bonuses.

Weapons

Fore Weapons

  • Quantum Phase Torpedo
  • Quantum Phase Beam Array
  • Twin Phaser Beam Array (x2)

Using the Quantum Phase Torpedo and Quantum Phase Beam Array from the "Sunrise" mission in the Future Proof arc with Console - Universal - Quantum Phase Converter enables the three-piece bonus from the Quantum Phase Catalysts set. This increases Accuracy and shield drain, as well as enabling the Quantum Destabilizing Beam ability, which deals additional phaser damage and transfers power from enemy ships.

The Twin Phaser Beam Array can be obtained in number of ways, including purchasing them at Earth Spacedock in the TOS era, from the T1 TOS Constitution, or from mission rewards.

Aft Weapons

  • Twin Phaser Beam Array (x2)
  • Phaser Turret
  • Trilithium-Enhanced Omni-Directional Phaser Beam Array

Using the Trilithium-Enhanced Omni-Directional Phaser Beam Array from the "Beyond the Nexus" mission in the New Frontiers arc with Console - Engineering - Reinforced Armaments provides the two-piece bonus from the Trilithium-Laced Weaponry set which increases flight speed and weapon fire rates.

The TOS-era Phaser Turret can be obtained in at Earth Spacedock in the TOS era.

Deflector

  • Elite Fleet Intervention Protomatter Deflector Array from the Fleet Colony holding

The Elite Fleet Intervention Protomatter Deflector Array provides additional Impulse Expertise, as well as bonuses to Weapon Specialization and Shield Penetration to make this build even more deadly.

Impulse

  • Bajor Defense Hyper-Impulse Engines from the New Frontiers mission "Scylla and Charybdis."

The Bajor Defense Hyper-Impulse Engines provide bonuses to flight speed and turn rate, in addition to a phaser damage bonus when used with the shield from the Bajor Defense set.

Core

  • Elite Fleet Plasma-Integrated Warp Core [AMP] from the Fleet Spire holding.

Shield

  • Bajor Defense Covariant Shield Array from the New Frontiers mission "Scylla and Charybdis."

The Bajor Defense Covariant Shield Array provides bonuses to shield capacity and regeneration, in addition to a phaser damage bonus when used with the engines from the Bajor Defense set.

Devices

  • Shields Battery
  • Weapons Battery
  • Engine Battery
  • Subspace Field Modulator from the "Skirmish" mission.

Universal Console

  • Console - Tactical - Vulnerability Locator [+Pha]

An extra Console - Tactical - Vulnerability Locator [+Pha] is slotted here to provide extra firepower in addition to the consoles slotted in the Tactical slots.

Engineering Consoles

  • Console - Universal - Ominous Device
  • Console - Universal - Ionized Gas Sensor
  • Console - Engineering - Reinforced Armaments from New Frontiers mission "Beyond the Nexus"
  • Console - Engineering - Trellium-D Plating from Future Proof mission "Ragnarok"

Science Consoles

  • Console - Science - Emitter Array
  • Console - Science - Temporal Disentanglement Suite from Iconian War mission "Butterfly"
  • Console - Universal - Quantum Phase Converter from the "Sunrise" mission in the "Future Proof" arc.

Tactical Consoles

  • Console - Tactical - Energetic Protomatter Matrix Infuser [+Pha] (x2)
  • Console - Tactical - Vulnerability Locator [+Pha] (x2)

Console - Tactical - Energetic Protomatter Matrix Infuser [+Pha] may be purchased from the Fleet Colonty holding, and Console - Tactical - Vulnerability Locator [+Pha] may be purchased from the Fleet Spire holding.

Bridge Officers

The bridge officer seating of the Legendary Miracle Worker Assault Cruiser allows the use of a somewhat advanced type of build commonly known as Aux2Bat. This involves using two copies of the Engineering skill "Auxiliary Power to Emergency Battery" to reduce cooldowns and cause all bridge officer abilities to be usable more often.

Note that for this approach to be effective, you should slot three Technician Deck Officers into active space slots, of the best quality you can find. They should also have the ability "Bridge Officer power recharges reduced by x% after activating Auxiliary Power to the Emergency Battery." This will allow all of your Bridge Officer abilities to be used more frequently, which can dramatically increase DPS as well as provide increased defense through uptime on engineering and science abilities.
