[Announcement] Fifth Annual Pride Weekend

I'm happy and pleased to announce the Fifth Annual Pride Weekend will be on July 12^th and 13^th!

The Admirals and I have a wonderful weekend of events, parties and celebrations to entertain your for the new year. We have some great new fun events this year that are sure to please.

STONEWALL FLEET 2V2 PVP TOURNAMENT

As part of our pride celebration, the Tactical Readiness Department will be hosting our first 2v2 tournament. The tournament is open to anyone of any skill level. The format will be single elimination tournament and prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finisher.

To join send a message through the site to WhiteOnmyoji with your and your partner’s @handle. If you don’t have a partner and would like to participate send your name and we will pair you with another solo player.

Can't wait! It was the pride ship parade in 2010 that got me to join the fleet.

So are the times listed actually EST as stated or EDT, Eastern Daylight?

Dilen, if that was supposed to answer my question - it didn't.
The Pride announcement implicitly says EST at each particular hour. On the other hand the announcement starts with "all times are Eastern". The only place known to me in the Eastern zone, which is currently on EST is Southampton Island in Nuvanut, Canada. The whole US Eastern coast (and I would imagine "all times are Eastern" means "we use the time as it it currently used in the Eastern coast") uses EDT right now, which is EST+1. Hence my confusion, and I wouldn't like to miss something by an hour because of this.

The Eastern US is currently in Daylight Savings Time. All event times are Eastern Daylight Time. I'll make sure Nick is "taken care of" for this oversight :-D

maybe all times should be listed as UTC which is constant all year ;p
