Hopefully they'll revamp the exploration system as well at the same time (or if not, then in the future). I think a lot of people, myself included, enjoy the exploration missions and still have some unfinished business there (ie, doff chains). :whistle:

Boo on Dilithium still being required. Hopefully, this is a system that will be a regular part of game play, not just another rep where you get all the good gear and are done with it.

Woefully overdue changes to crafting are great to see, no doubt. Looking cool.

But I do say they better have a revamp for exploration on deck... sure it wasn't the most content-rich feature of the game but there were some cool, procedurally generated worlds to see out there, and they could have totally built on that premise. "Can anyone remember the time when we used to be explorers?" :(

I saw the new crafting system on tribble... O.O dear gods the dil cost on them 20k on some... I think there will be a riot in the game if those prices stay like that. And it didn't look like it was a for sure thing on getting great quality of the gear, chance percentage.... I still have to go over it more to learn all of the new system but sofar.... its just wrong.

Oh lord. It's as if everyone (here, official forums, reddit) has forgotten how the current system works.

Under the new system, Mk XI costs one component that will cost 5k. Mk XII costs one 5k component and one 15k component. That seems to be currently regardless of type: beam array, shield, pulsewave rifle, flow capacitor. I should note that Mk Xs do not currently have any dilithium cost.

Under the current system, Mk IX weapons cost 5 Uncommon Unreplicables and Mk XIs cost 15 - at which were 1,000 dil a pop. Hell, Mk XI shields cost 31 Uncommons, and 75 Commons on top of that (10 dil each, but it adds up).

Yes, a crafter could buy the Unreplicable Mats on the Exchange. From what I understand, though, the components that cost dilithium? They can be put on the Exchange, too.

The actual dilithium sink will be if the crafter is completely impatient and wants to rush completion on non-component crafting. (I have no sympathy for rushers, so that's falling on deaf ears.)

Yep, the new system costs dilithium. But it always did.
