Keybindings

Ive been asking alot of people in fleet and out for assistance for key bindings. I want to combined different attacks together and different abilities together. Please someone help. I like to connect on team speak. I am looking for more the autofire.

It sounds like you are talking about macros. If you use a game pad such as the Belkin n52te you can use that devices program to create macro keys that will trigger key press combos. Then you simply assign those macros to a key on the keypad and boom you can fire of a series weapon special attacks like Torp Spread and Fire at will or cannon rapid fire. it will take a coordinated set up between the gamepad software and the games quick key UI. I just use tray 7 for all my regen/buff powers and the n52te to fire keys 1-10 and then the games built in autofire weapons.

Keep in mind that while key binds are allowed by Cryptic, Macros are not allowed and could get you banned from STO.

Key binds only assign functions to keys. Macros automatically activate skills/abilities based on timers and they can also be programmed to run constantly. Key binds were included by design while macros were left out because they can be abused and used to cheat.

My advice to you is to download the FES program, watch the help videos,and then experiment with combos until you find one that works for you. I finally optimized my binds in a way that worked for me and as a added bonus helped increase my DPS slightly. The best way to get great key binds is by trial and error.
