In-game Fleet Thanksgiving Day Parade

Hello! I thought it would be nice to do a little something in game for those who want an addition to or an alternative to Thanksgiving festivities, or just a little bit of fun for those outside the United States.

Tomorrow, November 28, at 1pm EST, we will be holding a Thanksgiving Parade outside Earth Spacedock. Pick your favourite ship--perhaps one you're especially proud of but don't normally fly these days--and we'll show off our fleet pride in grand fashion around ESD. Then, beam down to the station, and we'll party it up in Club 47.

No idea which ship I am going to use though, maybe my Avenger.

That sounds like a lot of fun, unfortunately I got to keep an eye on my casseroles and get ready to go to my Mom's house. Have fun! :)

The parade was a success! Joining me were @sellinodan , Lenier (I forgot his @), @Primus323, and @Chaaai. I only got one halfway decent screenshot, I'm afraid. This was towards the beginning of the parade:


Afterwards, we went down to Club 47 to dance some. A random passerby provided additional merriment via his party popper. (Sorry I didn't get a shot, screenshots aren't quite my forte, eh?)

Anyway, given that this was done on pretty short notice, we pulled it off well and folks enjoyed themselves. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time we've done a "regatta" of this sort. It was easy to organise, didn't take long, and would be smart to incorporate into events where a parade would make sense, Pride, in particular.

Glad your event turned out well. I popped in for a bit to see if it had started yet but had to go prep the feast. Sorry I couldn't make it. Sounds like all had a great time though.

Very cool. I hadn't really been able to make Pride events before (maybe just a single event in three years?) because of a schedule conflict with the chorus I was in, but this will not be the case next year. Thus, I didn't know we did a Pride parade.

Yeah, that was me :D Had all 3 of the party poppers going after the in space parade :D
