Question

August 23 2013
I am willing to bet money the answer is in so obvious a spot I will feel stupid for a month

but...

What server is our SW:TOR guilds on? I have 6 max level characters on an RP server and was just wondering. I am thinking of raising a new character from birth but am worried about losing my legacy level (which is really high and I have all legacy buffs) if I switch to a new server, but I am kind of meh about my old gay RP guild (stop laughing).

Don't feel stupid, it can be difficult to find some information as there is so much on the website. Our SWTOR guilds are on The Harbinger server, it's a west coast PVE server. You can now transfer your toons to a new server and won't lose any of your legacy perks. :cheer: Although, I am not exactly sure how the legacy system works if you only transfer one toon or part of your legacy to a new server. Not sure, the legacy goes with them or if you would have to start over and the remaining toons on the old server would keep your current legacy. I suspect that's what would happen so you'd have to transfer all the toons from the old server to the new in order to continue with your current legacy. Rather crappy outcome but a similar problem was holding up the transfer process, the devs didn't want anyone getting credit for achievements twice. God forbid should their couple of Cartel Coin reward for certain achievements be awarded more than once when someone decided to transfer a toon and already had the achievement on one server but would immediately get credit again as soon as they logged in to their new server.

If you decide to transfer your toons, just send me a PM (private message) to let me know the names of your toon(s) and their faction, and a time period you usually log on to play. I will make sure to log in during that time frame and send you invites. We can get any and all toons invited at the same time or do it individually, whichever works best for you. Just let me know. (and honest, I am not laughing at all, there's nothing wrong with wanting to switch guilds). :) I will warn you though, sometimes it's rather quiet since most of our members are also Stonewall Fleet members and are often playing STO instead of SWTOR. (Not me though... ;) )

Jumping on the back of this, I've just resubscribed to SWTOR after a long hiatus (and having one of my strops about Warcraft). How active a guild presence does Stonewall have? I'm pretty sure the old EU guild I was in has shrivelled up and died, I'd like to see some of the group content, even on a US server, rather than trundle about on my own.

Hey Lawson, there seem to be more people coming back everyday (or at least new toons getting on and getting added). I've never had a problem doing any of the group content that I've tried to do. The server population is great at any time of day or night. The only thing I can't attest for is the Operations -- I'm inexperienced doing those mainly because I'm an altaholic and am leveling up 14 toons. On-world Heroics, Flashpoints (now with group finder!), and PvP warzones I've never had trouble with. I also find that people on are usually willing to help if you ask, too.

Hope this helps -- see you in game!

I'm also often on but am leveling several alts, mostly on the Imperial side so I haven't had occasion to do a lot of Operations. You'll usually find me online there weeknights after 7pm PST.

Cheers guys, I'll give it a go on your side of the world. Probably roll a new character, the old Bounty Hunter merc's getting a bit stale. Are you guys more active on the Imperial or Republic side?

At the moment I'm mostly trying to level my Sith Warrior, Agent and Bounty Hunter simultaneously so I'm on there mostly.

I can log in on either side at a time that works for you Lawson. Post your toon name(s), the faction, and the time(s) you usually login to the game and I will make every effort to log in then as well. If you choose a specific time, that will probably make it easier to connect in game. I believe you are about 5 hours ahead of my time as I live on the US East Coast. :)
