Idea: PvP Event - Dominion Wars
Something about the combination of insomnia and large volume, rapid-fire improvisational deadline writing I've been doing led to a slightly brillz idea, as I was lying awake unable to sleep tonight.
Dominion Wars PvP!
On one team, we stack up as many Dreadnoughts, Attack Ships, Galors, and Heavy Escort Carriers as we can muster, and on the other - joint Federation and Klingon task forces.
Assuming Dominion and Cardassian ships are limiting, whatever imbalance we have in numbers or skill handicap can be evened out relatively easily with the freely available and widely owned Chel Gretts.
So who's in with me? Shall we set a time?
I suppose it's worthwhile getting a poll of what rare Dominion and Cardassian ships are around the fleet, for us to start building a roster, since it seems like that's going to be a limiting factor.
As an owner of a Dreadnought and a Heavy Escort Carrier, maybe we might consider forming a core Dominion group, to take on all comers en queue. Since there's an element of historicism here, I'd like representation on the Dominion side approximating the relatively even distribution of ships depicted in the last couple of seasons of DS9. I'm open to debate on this detail, depending on how much interest there is.

And yes, one can't help but feel this is perhaps the 25th century equivalent of being an American Civil War (or whatever conflict people bothering doing this with) reenactment - but I'm game if you are!
So set your Polaron cannons and Spiral Wave disruptors to maximum, because victory is life, and the Founders don't settle for a draw.
EDIT: Let's say, trial run this weekend? Early Saturday evening (EST), to accomodate our UK representatives?
