Scavenger Hunt Event!

Hello Stonewall Fleet!

I am running on February 10 at 5pm GMT -7, the next Scavenger Hunt event! This event will be different from the last one, in that I am using the foundry to conduct the mission. Contestants will obtain the foundry mission, and at the designated start time I will reveal the location of the first clue. Players will then have to interact with objects and NPC's within the game to get the next clue until they complete the challenge.

A demonstration of this event is available, simply search "Scavenger Hunt Demo" in the foundry and you can get a taste of what to expect by playing it. I look forward to running the event for you all, see you then!

Sounds awesome :) I'll definitely try to make it to the event, work permitting. I've played the demo and think they the way you're planning on running this event is really quite ingenious. It should provide a really smooth game experience for everyone. I'm very excited to give this a try!

Really hope i can make it i just wish it was the saturday that would be so much more convenient for us brits :P

I wish I could run it on a Saturday, it is just the one day of the week that is bad for me. I have had stuff going on every Saturday since 8 years ago. :D

Alright, according to 3 people I have spoken to today, the demo has been bugged! This happens from time to time, the Devs release new stuff and they break more things that they fix. It this case they released more stuff to the foundry since Thursday, so I am guessing that is what broke the mission.

The Scavenger Hunt Demo has been revised, and the final clue is an entirely different person and location. Hopefully this will resolve the bug that made completion of the demo impossible.

Today is the event! I have added to the event a grand prize of 1000 zen, so here is to hoping the event runs well!

I know that you put a lot of effort into preparing for it. It was a good turn-out and I know that everyone had a good time!

Thank you to everyone who attended! We had an amazing amount of people show up, and my only regret is that not everyone could participate due to bugs with the foundry. For the few who the foundry crapped out on, you have my apologies, and to the rest, I hope you enjoyed the event!

I learned a lot from running this event, not only in doing the first Scavenger Hunt event to utilize the Foundry, but in when and how to conduct a proper event. It was truly an honor to run this for the fleet, and I look forward to running an even better event in the future!

In all seriousness it was a really imaginative event and i thoroughly enjoyed it even if i did spent 5 precious minutes stressfully running around quarks when i misunderstood a clue :D

Congratulations Res you had a brilliant idea and executed it really really well.

Very well done even if I never did find those freakin' mushrooms. Hopefully we can do something like this again sometime.
