Official Guild Emblem VOTING!

I want to thank each and every member who contributed a design to the guild emblem design contest.

Because we had such a large amount of entries, myself and the other members of the leadership team, have done some internal voting to narrow the choices down to make things simpler.

Where is the emblem going to be on our characters? Chest, back, cape? (I don't know how I've missed seeing where it is on other people, I haven't been paying attention I guess and too focused, or not enough coffee when I start playing.) :blink:

Now that we will have an emblem soon enough, are any of you thinking about fashion...LOL! (Here, that's almost a given, LOL)

Are you going for:

Color-coordinated or Contrast dyes? I'm opting for Contrast dyes to really set it off and give it a punch and make it stand out.

You need to buy armour or weapons from the guild armourer or guild weaponsmith. I'm not sure if they have a preview function. When you go in the mists to the PvP starting area, you're character is wearing a coat with the guild emblem on your back.

Ok, I went and bought one of each, one guild armor and one guild weapon (the pistol). I double clicked each and both opened a transmutation window. Now, I'm confused as far as what to put in them and when.

The guild-thing says you can only do this once, so I cancelled for fear that I was putting too low a level item in there and should wait until I get my 80 pieces or not?

I dragged one of my pistols to the weapon one and the window was green, so that would have taken but I cancelled that one also for the same reason.

However, the guild armor one I bought...each time I tried to drag and drop one of my armor pieces to the trans window the window was red...meaning it wouldn't accept it.

I duel-wield pistols so do I have to buy two guild weapon pistol things for our crest to show up on both or will one cover the set?

Now, I have a headache!

Could someone please explain how this all works..... :unsure:

What you purchase when you buy a guild piece of armour or weapon is a "skin". So when you try to use it you get a transmutation window to apply that skin to another item.

Should you wish to then upgrade that item (if a better one drops) then you simply need to use a Transmutation stone to transfer the guild emblem skin onto the new piece of armour. So as long as you have lots of stones (you get them for completing zones or can buy them of the Gem Store) then you need not worry about "wasting" it on a low level item.

As for the window being red, I can only think of two reasons this would happen. First being that the piece of armor you're trying to Transmutate is of a higher level than your character currently is (I'm nearly 100% sure you have to be the right level to do it) or it's not the correct armour type for yourself.

You'd have to buy two guild pistols to have them both show the emblem, as there is no way to copy an item skin without losing the original item.
