It doesn't seem to be a big deal here since you can play with any friend at any level any time and since pvp shuttles you up to level 80 anyway. Unless you are in a hurry to gear grind or whatever the endgame is...

somewhere in between I suppose.. I'm not in any hurry, but because my play time isn't what it use to be I also don't like to waste any of it.. I guess I like to be somewhat efficient with my time and feel like I'm progressing... this could be at crafting, taking a keep, even roaming around and exploring gives me a sense of progress and accomplishment.

God don't ask me to stand around for 3hours to put a raid together, play lemming for another 4, and all for some small chance at some darn piece of armor.. that to me is a waste of time..

I dunno, apparently even if I am playing slowly XD I tend to be moving pretty fast, habit I guess. Since I gather, craft, explore repeat events XD. I was 35 and hadn't even finished all the starting areas and only did a couple 15-25 areas during bwe 3 XD with 100 and 75 in two tradeskills before i finaly ran out of materials XD

I agree with Blue - I voted slow and have no intent to rush to 80 - but by the nature of the game, levels will fly by faster than you know it. You get xp for almost everything you do. Unless you spend hours and hours talking to all the booksellers and carni folk in Divinity's reach - you're going to be doing something that moves you along. It's one of the many great things about GW2.

I'm slow, so it'll probably be 5 years until I'm level 80. Ok, hopefully not that bad, but I only can usually play two hours a day. :(

1.5 hours per level, so at two hours/day, that's two months. I guess this game is made to play slowly or you'll get bored quickly.

Hard & fast. ;)

Guild Wars 2 end-game starts at level 1. I can go back and do any content I want and it still be relevant. I really want my character to have the benefits from all of the traits and utilities, so I plan on leveling fast.

Regarding nnicc's comment "I guess this game is made to play slowly or you'll get bored quickly." I completely disagree.. I've played Guild Wars 1 for around 85 months and I've only recently become bored of it because of Guild Wars 2 and that game has a level cap of 20. They wanted you to not focus on leveling to experience content and Guild Wars 2 is the same in most cases.. the only difference is that lower level players can't experience higher level content. Level 80's don't have to worry about that. You don't have to level slow to have fun.

Don't you think you'll run out of content if you rush through it? I don't know much about GW1. How did you keep busy during those years?

Definitely slow, I do not know the game at all so I want to enjoy every bit of it.

The way I see it, I'll probably be a map completionist, striving to get 100% on each zone, I'll probably stick to the zones that are in my current level range, but I fully intend to help everyone, see every vista, etc.

I also played GW1 for a good 6 years now on multiple characters, after they released eye of the north and announce gw2 (seeing as they only had a logo at the time) Going back and completing alot of content you may have skipped (aka quests for 1 or challenges/dungeons) even taking a little break and coming back you feel somewhat refreshed to play again.

I suppose its a matter of enjoying the world more then "having enough content to grind" I think thats the main focus of GW2's downscaling, with the added benefit of being anti-grief as well, even players who have gone through these areas can roam around and help in events or other players.

I know I have run all the content in GW1 till I have mainly memorized the majority of the game but even knowning that, sometimes the AI really pulls a fast one and can become stupid difficult in a heartbeat (mainly nightfall and eye of the north content) But even going back now (as I have been playing again) I find myself challenged abit in proper content on a new character or an established character.
