no more server Eternal Grove

Arenet posted the list of the servers for BWE3. Eternal Grove isn't in it...

It seems "Darkhaven" is the GBLT server of choice .

I didn't see anything about what happens to our characters when we log into the game but I'm going to guess we'll be given the choice to transfer them to another server. Guilds seem to work cross-server so we shouldn't have any problems with re-joining the Vanguard or anything like that.

Being honest I'm a little heart broken they've taken our first home away but I'll get over it! Asura and Sylvari woop! :)

Yeah I understand the concerns.

I'll keep my eye on the other forums and see what the other guilds are doing. We could always pick a different server for ourselves and forget the other LGBT guilds.

That could hurt us though because cooperation between guilds could end up being very important when it comes to completing the large scale Dynamic Events and winning the war in World vs World. Being able to cooperate with other like-minded guilds would hopefully make things smoother.

ArenaNet already announced that existing characters would be wiped:

Before and immediately following this final Beta Weekend Event we’ll delete all existing beta information. Every beta character and all information or items associated with them will be deleted before Headstart Access and launch occurs. However, we will be preserving your beta account’s contact list so you can easily connect with your fellow beta gamers during Headstart Access or after launch.

I honestly think Eternal Grove will be back at release... it seems like they are starting with a smaller list for BWE 3 to really stress the system and likely get a mock release day sort of data..

I just hope we don't get scattered in the confusion.. and I to have concerns about Darkhaven.. as mentioned its the reddit server as well as a large number of PvP guilds.. not to mention the name itself will have a certain type of draw to it.. I just think this is going to be one, very over-crowded and two, not a good match..

A lot of people on the gaygamer forum don't feel like moving to Darkhaven.

I've sent emails to the leaders of rough trade and gayme 0n. I'll wait and see what replies I get.

If nothing is sorted we can pick a temporary server to make sure we can all play without problems this weekend and decide a long term choice between now and launch.

The document looks fine to me. It's cool though, you can see people changing it live.

Yeah it got a fix, abit different from the one i managed to save however. Still got the basic idea though.

There was someone going in and putting tons of racial slurs and such, and then just deleted the whole thing at one point.

I believe from what I've been told that Eternal Grove is still the "official" LGBT server and will remain it until we hear that it's defiantly gone for good (to be honest I imagine it'll be back before launch).

Discussions can continue after this weekend. For now I think we should select a server for us to play on which would "hopefully" make playing this weekend the easiest it can be for us.

Thrumdi suggested "Tarnished Coast". How would that suit everybody? (just for this weekend).

Yep. I got an email from the leader of Rough Trade less than an hour ago asking me if Crystal Desert was acceptable.

I don't see any reason why it isn't and I'm happy to go with them if you guys are. What do you all think? we still have the option of rolling on Tarnish for now and taking it after this weekend or we can roll with RT on Crystal Desert.

I'd be willing to bet that Eternal Grove will be back at launch... actually I think we'll see it come online this weekend.. that is one short list for all the folks that will be playing this weekend.. they'll need more servers..

Yeah I bet it's back for launch as well but for this weekend lets go with Rough Trade and use Crystal Desert :)

There is never really a right balance when it comes to servers that are not properly designated as "this server or that server."

Finding a central location for the LGBT guilds to meet will label things as whatever, we'll always share a server with some community. The important thing is selecting a server in general.

Anyway servers are currently active. as of 5 minutes ago.

Have been MIA for a bit, so i havent been on the forums for a while, whats going on with the servers?

Crystal Desert is a full population server... you can't join it any more :(. What now? lol
