I named my ambassador U.S.S. Chiune Sugihara after a the Japanese Vice Consul to Lithuania he (and his wife) help (spending 18 to 20 hours a day stamping visas) save 6000 Jews from the Nazis in WWII.

For my new Ambassadors, I ended up going with the U.S.S. Pioneer for Grayson and the U.S.S. Ranger for Taiyo.

Brock's ships are all named for bladed weapons, all beginning with S except the Claymore and the Claymore II. So I named his Ambassador the Sabre. I don't know what I'm doing with other captains yet. They're not all going to get an Ambassador/Kamarag, mostly just my lower-level ones since most of my upper-level already have Oddys.

All of my Klingon ships are named after Roman Emperors (Hadrianus, Septimus Severus, et al).

I have four Fed officers. All but one of those officers use mythical Greek names. My main, T'oi, names all his ships after famous scholars and scientists. My Ambassador is named after a very famous LGBT Medieval Scholar, the U.S.S. John E. Boswell, more on him later; my Mirror Science Recon Vessel is the U.S.S. Niehls Bohr, my Recon Science Vessel is the original U.S.S. Carl Sagan in game.

Captain's Yachts are named for other university lecturers and administrators I am friends with.

Light cruiser: USS Stonewall (coincidentally prior to me joining this fleet)
Science Vessel: USS Turing
Research Science Vessel: USS Sulu
Support Cruiser: USS Takei

I'm thinking of bring it back to old school and name my next ship USS La vie en Rose, in honor of Edith Piaf and pay an hommage to Gundam F91.
