My Rob and I booked our accomodation the week before tickets sales launched and got the tickets in the first hour. We will be there and will happily meet with folks too. :cheer:

I'll be there - trying to keep Bucko39 out of trouble. We'll be there on Saturday including the party if anyone fancies a romulan ale or two.

Overall impression of show: Organizers count organize a knees up in a Brewery!

Seriously first they give 3 day pass holders the very same in person signature and then they have only a single booth to go and collect goodie bags. Obviously this means that when both me and my hubbie got ours, both bags had the same autographed image inside. Still quite happy with having Nelix's siggie. Also crew at the door know nothing about how to direct people to where they can get limited availability tickets either.

To make the weekend even more fun the Docklands Light railway has suspended all services to Excel for the weekend so we have to take a bus now! Content wise the show is pretty poor with its only saving grace being the number of 'stars' there.

Definitely going to Q's talk along with Data's.

As with nearly every run of Colony Invasion, the Mugato has managed to kill Traull, yet again :p

Seeing all the pics on the STO forum, it looked like it was a lot of fun. :)

Damn - I didn't see this thread until now.

Still, I managed to meet up with some fleeties, as well as a good few players and Foundry authors from STO. It was great meeting Voleron, Traull, Strorus, Kahless2001, calx and many others I can't currently match up with usernames on here!

Check out my photos here :)

Great event but, just as with the Vegas convention, it was meeting STO players, fleetmates, and Foundry authors that really made DSTL so amazing for me. There are some truly awesome people playing and making missions for this game, and I am blessed to have met some of them in person and call them friends.

And the Foundry has an utterly remarkable amount of currency. I was stopped a number of times each day by complete strangers asking whether I was alimac30, and I was even asked for my autograph! Crazy :silly:

There were sooo many, especially on the Saturday! I think every cute gay geek in London was there that day. :cheer:

Also, "London's Fittest Fireman" was happening in the exhibition hall next door :woohoo:

Indeed!

If anyone had squeezed me tight enough I would've oozed testosterone.

A great time was had and it was great to see so many people still in love with Trek. Hell, it's brought me back to this game. :woohoo:
