Getting to Know Each Other

Part of building a strong community is getting to know each other. While we tend to spend a lot of time in game together, we don't always have the opportunity to share information about who we are with each other so I thought I would start a little game here that could help get things started. It's called two truths and a lie.

Here is how it goes. People post two facts about themselves that is true and one that is a lie and everyone else has to guess which one is the lie.

Posting instructions: Before posting, read the last post and guess which fact is the lie. When you post, first, post which fact you think is a lie and then post two facts about you that is true and one that is a lie. The next person will read your post and guess which is the lie and then post his or her own facts and so on.

I'll get it started...

1. I am deaf.
2. I am a musician.

1. I have Aspergers.
2. I'm obsessed with aliens.

1. I'm originally from Chicago, but live in Kentucky.
2. My pinkies on both my hands are missing part of my knuckle, making them bend at a 45^o angle.
3. I lead an online gaming community. :P

1. I was in the Musical Theater program at Ithaca College (one of the toughest Musical Theater programs in the country - Not THE toughest but it's up there only taking about 50-70 students into the program every year)
2. I believe in reincarnation and past lives.
3. I love singing but have a strong aversion to actually performing around other people.

OH! Forgot my guesses!

Woobies - I call a lie on the Cat named Neville!
Nick - I'm thinking it's that you live in Kentucky!
Eurrsk - Maybe the obsession with aliens.

Lies:

Woobies -- You're not deaf. There is a piano behind you in your profile pic, so you're probably a musician. There are very few deaf musicians existed in history (Beethoven being the only one I know of and he's not deaf until later in his career.)

Eurrsk -- You don't have Aspergers. Just a wild guess on my part here, it's not very common that autistics play MMO.

MicholasJohn16 -- You don't have knuckle problem with your pinkies. This is simply based on deductive rationalization. You helped found Stonewall Fleet so #3 could be interpret as such...and your profile clearly said you're in KY and missing Chicago.

Varel -- I don't think that you was in the Musical Theater program at Ithaca College...not exactly sure where that is and what the program is like but, you put too much details on that line of info; most of the time, people don't add details into the truth but do for a lie as a misleading tactic.

Ok...now I've got to come up with 3 things about me:

1. I have two cute little kittens that love to sit on my keyboard when I try to play game. Those darn rascals!

2. I work as a detective in a police department.

3. I've been in a relationship for 17 years but am not married.

What I am pretty sure are lies:

Woobies, I know you have a cat named Neville so I am assuming your not deaf.

Eurrsk - Although it sounds like an awesome middle name I am doubting thats true.

Nick - For me the pinkies are the lie.

Varel - I don't think you have any problem performing in public.

Dtronski - I'm pretty sure you have talked about your kittens in game, so the lie is that your a detective, alough a close second was the not being married.

For me:

1. I am engaged to another member of this guild.

2. I am a cancer survivor.

3. I have a baby that was conceived the one and only time I had sex with a woman.

Ummmm...I'm a moron. :side: I should've really read the instructions more carefully. All mine were true.

My lie was the Musical Theater program... I tried out for it but didn't make the the cut for the second round of auditions for the program.

I do sing but am actually terrified about singing in front of other people! My husband rarely even hears me sing....

Um, since almost the entire page above me is just chatter, do I start it over? >.>

I think Soren lie was about having the baby, wild guess based on probability.

3) I have dated LEO's (aka Law Enforcement Officers) from state, county, city and federal bureaus.

Oh some of my guesess missed the other pages and now I see folks revealing ignore me I was being a dingleberry.

IDK I'm going with the 5 year or the LEO the contract roller derby would be awesome.

Ok, so I'm sorry I missed that chance to guess on everyone who has already given their correct answer, but here's my guesses on the ones who still have to confirm.

Eurrsk - I don't think your middle name is Riker.
Sorenstarkiller - I don't think you had a baby after one "encounter" with a woman.
Angelsilhouette - I think you do have wings, but maybe as a costume piece so I'll go with being an extra on the Sopranos.
Lace - I don't know what a roller derby is, so I'll go with that one.
Saintplazma - I really hope you can belch the ABC's but I'll still guess that is the lie.
Nelithos - It has to be the nude beaches one, no-one would admit that if it were true, lol.

And my 2 truths and a lie are...

1. I was a child model appearing in over 20 ad campaigns in the UK.
2. I have performed on stage at Radio City Music Hall many times.
3. My parents let me choose my own name.
