Vent Vs. Cinematics - Is there a good solution?

December 15 2011
I logged onto Vent last night and was enjoying the conversation but having a hard time listening to the cutscenes while Vent was running.

I've read about creating a macro in Vent to mute a conversation (so you can listen to the cutscenes) but I've also read how that causes problems as people don't know you have muted.

How are folks dealing with this issue? Anybody encountered that problem already?

I just take my headset off.

In a pinch, you can always turn on subtitles. You lose the voice acting, but sometimes you wanna here the voices more than others...

This can be an issue, especially if you're in a popular vent room with a lot of people talking continuously.

I have turned subtitles on and normally just read along when people are talking.

I just tell people, "brb, watching a cinematic" and mute vent temporarily.

I just take the headset off; it's not too cumbersome.

This plus "other" tab in the chat window = win :3
