It's a toxic Cantina from KOTOR. I'm a nerd. But it's better than my friends guild, they got assigned to Space Slug server :P

I somewhat recall this place too, what an interesting choice. Kinda glad we didn't get assigned to space slug or worse >.> a Jar-Jar server.

Yay, I was hoping we wouldnt be assigned to a popular server, less lag, less crowding, better service =).

With the forum lag going on I am not exactly confident that emails advising us of early start will be sent out in a timely fashion.

Guess we shall see...

I read the entire blog about it today and the guild members will get one first invite automatically when they log in. The guild can change its mind and form on another server if it wants. The creation of new guilds will be available as well needing 4 players and 5000 credits. Anyone can join any server they wish and can turn on or off the notice for the automatic invite. The automatic guild invite works once and after that you'll have to get an invite from the guild leader or designated officers.

There's some big guilds on our server, I think we're the 8th biggest. Crazy!

hmmmm.... is anyone talking to the other lgbt guilds that didn't make it to our server? It would be great to get them over to our server.

I wonder too how accurate those numbers will be at launch. There may be more situations like ours where most people signed up for KOS but several are planning on going LOS instead.

Or as we were unable to pre-register more than one character. I know a lot of people that signed up as republic but want to play both sides.

Should be fun.

Looks as though at least two LGBTQ guild are on different servers

I've sent an email out to all those that participated in creating the chain. Hopefully, we can notify those other guilds so they can be join us at Jekk'Jekk Tarr!

I posted this on another thread before seeing this one. Yeah, it looks like they put some thought into our server assignment..

The Jekk'Jekk Tarr was a cantina that was located within the spaceport docks of Nar Shaddaa and circulated cyanogen fumes along with a variety of other pollutants that were lethal to Humans and Nikto, but commonplace for, and often preferred by, many other alien species. Before its establishment as a cantina, it was a ventilation system for passing nagnol gases to the docks. It was designed to be a haven for the more exotic species of the galaxy; its very atmosphere providing a buffer against less desirable company. Instead of serving drinks, the bar served "nutrient chemicals" to its clientèle, who paid large sums of credits for the privilege.

Read more of the description of that Cantina... I have a hard time imaginging that this was a fluke! Rooms with different colors...

The Jekk'Jekk Tarr was divided into five sections, each lit with a different light that represents the environment it simulates. Upon entering, a customer would arrive at the infrared chamber, which was lit with a red light. This area was favored by species that could perceive the infrared, such as the Devaronians and Trandoshans. Adjacent to the west of this chamber was the yellow, arid room, designed to simulate the harsh climate of worlds such as Ryloth and Sriluur. Because of this, this chamber was frequently inhabited by Twi'leks and Weequays alike. To the east of the infrared chamber was a green room of particularly toxic gases. A second toxin room lay to the north of this, and both areas were almost entirely used by the insectoid Gand only. It was likely that the gas in these two rooms was ammonia from their home planet Gand. The fifth chamber was non-toxic and contained no harmful fumes even to Humans. It was a private lounge used by the Quarren Exchange crime lord Visquis, and thus it was locked to anybody but Visquis and his servants. In his lounge was the entrance to his secret headquarters, which contained a dimly-lit maze with lethal gases and a jamming system to insure that datapad maps were rendered useless.[1]

Yeah Liastnir, I agree. Not a fluke AT ALL. I have to say I am very impressed with Bioware over this little bit of detail and thoughtfulness.

Less than 24 hours before the first invites go out. I have an Astronomy final starting at 8am but should be home by 10am. I put in the codes for me and Misty around 10:30 the day the game went on sale, so I expect to be in the first day (crosses fingers). I can't wait to start playing with everyone.

Re: Our new server

One of the organizers for the glbt coalition, if you will, contacted someone to do with the guild deployment to make sure that we'd get moved together.

I don't think the server name was accidental in the slightest and I find it very fitting. :P

Frankly I'm touched and honored, because I agree I do think someone took the time and did that and I think its a very welcoming touch.
