EARLY GAME ACCESS DEC. 13th!!

Woot!! Look what just appeared on the SWTOR site! :cheer:

Early Game Access may begin as early as December 13, 2011, 7:00AM EST (Pacific: December 13th, 4:00AM PST; European: December 13th, 12:00PM GMT, 1:00PM CET). The length of your Early Game Access depends on the date and order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code at the Code Redemption Center.

Saw that on Twitter. Awesomeness! I didn't get my pre-order until after the Stress Test weekend so I'll prolly be in one of the last groups... but that's all good. Its COMING! :)

Yea, I'm kicking myself for not pre-ordering earlier! Ha! :pinch:

This is so NOT helping with my SWTOR withdrawals. Maybe if I go home, download the client and stare at the play button it will let me in! (ya, probably not)

The company I pre ordered with took a week to send out the codes so don't know when I will be in, hopefully Wednesday as Thursday is my day off but I doubt it

Still whatever happens it all systems go and I'm sure those that got there pre order right will keep the guild warm for the rest of us

Just checked my launcher and it looks like I'm all patched up and ready to go. Still check it on a daily basis, you know -- can't be too careful!

Still no word on what day of Early Access I qualify for though. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Aw yeah! Earlier date, less than a week, crazy! It's going to be very very difficult to not call in sick whenever I get in.

Maybe I'm reading too much into the email (a habit I tend to get into as my job revolves around email), but from the sound of it, we won't have much warning before our access is granted:

During this time, we will be emailing invitations to join Early Game Access based on the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code.

At least I'm reading "During this time" as meaning the invites will start, and continue, after Early Access has started.

I'm playing this kind of game with the dang Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the U.S. At least with SW:TOR we have a date from the horse's mouth.

Woot! 2 days earlier than we thought. What i dont understand is why they wont send the invites out until the same day it starts. wouldnt it make more sense to send them out beforehand? Still, 2 days is 2 days.

I agree with you that they should send out the emails before the 13th.

If you ordered a hard copy of the game to be mailed (like me) looks like you won't be able to play at launch even though you can play in early access.....

From the Early access FAQ:
There will be no ‘grace period’ post launch in which those who are in Early Game Access will be able to continue to play the Game without completing the following required steps for launch:

1. Fill out your contact information
2. Set up minimum 3 - maximum 5 security questions to protect your SWTOR account
3. Redeem a Product Registration Code (This is different from your Pre-Order Code. Your Product Registration Code is the code tied to the official Game.)4. Sign up for a recurring subscription or enter a Pre-Paid Game Time Code

You will have the option of completing these steps during the Early Game Access period so that you are ready to play upon the Game’s official launch.

Well, that's certainly a bummer :(
The only copies of the game I have access to are hard copies since I'm not in the US, Canada or EU... Guess I'll have to wait till I get my copy mailed to me after the official launch too... Sigh

Checked on it and looks like my Amazon copy is only gonna arrive on 3-13 Jan :/

Yeah I'm in a similar position. Very unhappy. I've read that some people are using a VPN to get the digital version in red zone countries, although its not guaranteed the address on your credit card will be overlooked. I'm not sure how to work this and I did want the CE.

Really badly handled.

Looks like the SWTOR forum has exploded on the grace period issue. People are pissed.

So what if you've ordered the origin digital copy? Does the necessary information get emailed to you, or sommat?

Well, it's at least comforting I'm not alone in this :)

Hopefully, they'll do something about extending the grace period for those who've already spent their money on pre-orders... At least send us a temporary code till our mail orders arrive...
