Crafting ???

What crafting will you be setting up for , if any? From what i have seen it will not be possible to be a jack of all trades in crafting in SWTOR, so it may be a nice idea to see if the guilds will be overloaded in certain areas.

I need to look into crafting a bit more before picking them out. I usually go with what I can use on my main and alts. I like the potions one and the one that makes gadgets for your gear. But again I'll need to research this a bit more. Thanks for reminding me!

There is also a page somewhere that shows the links between crafting skills and what gathering skills work best with them, i have it printed at home, but the link has been blocked on the TOR website.

I tend to dislike the crafting and favor resource gathering. I always want to enjoy crafting but it ends up for me a time-sink where I don't seem to get anything useful out of the actual crafting part.

That said, I will probably try to go with one of each type (resource/craft/mission) on each toon I play. And since I will be prolly playing 2-3 toons lol. Well, we'll see.

But I think it will take time for peeps to know how useful crafting will actually be.

absolutely a handy chart to have... (clicks the favorite button) I need to keep that in mind for when the game launches. I can start planning ahead yay!!!!!!

If you go to your codex and click the crafting ability, at the bottom, it will tell you what gathering / mission skills contribute to it.

Personally, I always take slicing, for benefits likely covered by the NDA.

I tried armortech and synthweaving, before; but I've found I am more fond of the non-crafted armours.

Last build I tried armstech. At first it was incredibly frustrating empire-side, but eventually quite rewarding for my BH.

I just hope it's useful. It was so frustrating and expensive leveling Tailor and Enchanting in WoW and then it wasn't for me all that useful. Of course, I wasn't willing to spend hours hawking my wares in town.

There is a column on Massively about crafting and many comments say that during this build at least everyone should be using slicing on all characters just due to the money payoff alone.

Love the color chart that is very helpful. Now to just figure it all out. Ugh!

I'm not impressed with the crafting. But I keep thinking of SWG and it was very complex and I found it very enjoyable. Of course it also had housing, so storage wasn't as bad.

I'm hoping this crafting system is only temporary until they can put in something more enjoyable. Cause sending a lackey off to do it for me isn't crafting. Isn't that what we have Zep for? :)
