What role (tank/heal/dps) you gonna play in TOR?

So clearly there is a huge popularity to the jedi, but what role (ie. in the advanced class) you going for? (tank, healer, dps)

for me, at this point I think I'm gonna start with a healz smuggler (scoundrel) and a tank jedi consular (shadow), and a dps jedi knight (sentinal). um in that order. I put smuggler first cause everyone and his gay uncle are playing consulars apparently.

My main is gonna be IA sniper for DPS, a glass cannon. :evil:

I think I'll start with a DPS trooper, though I haven't decided which advanced class I'll go with. I like the BFG the commando has, but the vanguard would be better for survivability in PvP.

LOL! Seriously, though, I am leaning toward Jedi Consular or Jedi Knight but knowing my proclivity for making alts, I am sure I will eventually wind up with one of each class. :P

I believe I read that since studies show most people like dps, they are making all classes pretty dps-y, and not much dps may be lost by doing healz or tanking classes. I don't know if that is true, but it certainly makes playing the non-dps classes more attractive.

Always been partial to ranged, so Smuggler Gunslinger (like the explosives), Trooper Commando, then Jedi Sage.

I am starting as a Smuggler Scoundrel I like the idea of kicking an opponent in the nuts and shooting from the hip. The galaxy will learn not to mess with this straight shootin bad ass.

I'm not one for Alts really so this character will be my one true focus. Lets hope he's everything I want him to be. Otherwise I am switching to Gunslinger.

I prefer tanking and dpsing, but I'm finding it's not so hard to be a healer in this game.

The small party size helps. :3

I plan to play a Trooper Vanguard (tank) first and then a Jedi Knight Sentinel (DPs) as my second. One of the two will likely be my main, I just don't know which yet.

I'll be playing Imps too. Bounty Hunter Powertech (Tank) and Sith Warrior Juggernaught (tank). I have to have my evil when I'm feeling the need for chaos and carnage.

I'm leaning towards a Trooper that is dps/healz. But a smuggler healz/dps is also high on my list. I've just not decided yet. I will eventually play one of the light saber classes but that is down the road a bit.

absolutely no clue I was leaning towards jedi but I love the SI story line ...sigh I like all of their story lines...:)

I'm not 100% on this anymore like I used to be, but I'm leaning on doing a Jedi Consular to start. I like the thought of playing a character who is on the search for knowledge, the double bladed Lightsaber helps.

My main is going to be a Jedi Consular Sage in the telekinetics tree (dps). I'll also be playing an Imperial Agent as an alt.

I'm thinking either Scoundrel (heals) or Jedi Shadow (dps/tank)

I am looking at Jedi Consular (debating Shadow or Sage still) for my main, but also like the Sith Inquisitor too. Still trying to decided Jedi or Sith. But I am sure I will make one of each as I like to play alts.

I always pick something and then change my mind too many times. If history shows anything, I'll be some sort of dps. Was the same for WoW and STO.

But tank with a lightsaber....so tempting.

Consular but oh please ranged dps, I do not need to be anywhere near the bad guy thank you :P

I will be going Jedi Shadow or Sentinel DPS. Will probably roll both to see which I prefere. After 3 years of playing a support class in EQ2, it's time for me to blow some shit up! :laugh:
