Caitian / Aenar BOs

So if you decided to shell out for the C-store BOs, would you be able to requisition as many as you liked, or would you be stuck with just the one? If the answer is the former, I'll be happy that I can get my Caitian crew on my Caitian captain. If it is the latter then I'll likely delete my Caitian captain and write it off as a stupid decision.

The c store gives you an officer requesition token that you spend at the boff store to get the aenar or caitian or your choice. You can get as many as you'd like. I have an all caitian crew.

This! ---^ But to further clarify, you have to purchase a new token each time you want one.

Not I. $15 USD is far FAR too much to pay for 12 virtual crewmen and women to populate my bridge.

There are Caitian and Aenar officers of all types now listed on the exchange. If you don't want to spend real money of tokens, then this would be another option for you. It's the path I took and my "real world" wallet thanks me.

Also sounds like Cryptic inadvertently created a way to buy EC. xD

If there are going to be lots of Boff rewards with the new season Doff system, then you may as well wait until then. Plenty more officers, probably more high quality ones as well.

I'm actually going to wait until they finish the Ciatian hair, if they ever do.

Though by then, I'm sure cryptic will have realised that they've accidentally started selling EC at the exchange rate of upwards of 1 million to 2.50 USD and they'll make them bind on pickup.

I think Cryptic's position on this is that there will be ways to gain Bridge Officers of all different species in-game with out having to buy them, but for those people who want to have a single species crew, which isn't really cannon (there's only one example of it in Trek), they'll have to purchase them through the C-Store.

The only part that confuses me is that Catians are rare and Vulcans are uncommon. Wouldn't you think the species that breeds every 7 years would be less common than the one, that well, has litters?

LOL! So true!

I'm actually quite offended that Vulcans are common. I think they've made a mistake setting certain races as more common than others.

Cats and other animals that raise litters tend to only breed once all of the kittens/puppies/cubs have grown enough to leave. Vulcans, for all we know, could have another child seven years after conceiving the first. (and humans, a bit like rats who don't have litters, will keep cranking them out with no end in sight, even before the previous child isn't even a year or two old. :P )

Also, the rarity could also represent how many of a certain race joins Starfleet.
