Data Sample Farming Made (slightly) Easier!

If you're like me you probably just want to veg out and farm as much as you can in as short a time as possible. With the games built in Autopilot you can!

THIS IS NOT BOTTING as you must press a key for each step. this won't work if you're not at your computer.

It takes just 4(x3) easy steps!

1. Do explore missions until you get an Aid the Planet mission.
Do a quick scan for clickies.
If there are 4 anomolies (a.k.a. Om-nom-olies) then don't complete the mission.
(If there are fewer than 4 complete it and keep lookin'.)
2. Accept the mission but don't complete it.

3. Go to the first Om-nom-oly and get to less than 1 km away.
now type
/loc

it should give you your coordinates something like
-430 -42 727

Now you should bind this to a key using the Autopilot command:
NavToXYZ
. I use the number pad for this since I don't usually my NumPad. Also you have to put a 4th variable at the end which is the distance the autopilot will get from the target coordinates before it stops. I usually put a 1 (one map unit)
4. Type the autopilot bind as below with the coordinates you're given.
/bind Numpad1 Navtoxyz -430 -42 727 1

Do the /loc and keybind for the other 3 data samples.

   /bind Numpad2 Navtoxyz -857 -751 942 1
   /bind Numpad3 Navtoxyz -1326 -237 36 1
   /bind Numpad4 Navtoxyz 188 551 -1896 1

Now, Abort mission/Depart system

You should see the mission in the notification area (usually on the screen's lower right)
Click it and it will take you back to the Aid the Planet mission you were just in, but the Data samples will be back/respawned. not only that, but in the exact same place. always.
So, push your keybind (I push numpad1)then go to full impulse power and it will take you straight to the Om-nom-oly AND stop there. (the first one you may need to click the keybind 2 times or it will just keep going straight, and sometimes it orbits the data sample, but you can still scan match the frequency and pick it up)

Sorry to tell ya, but the Fed one does not work that way. You will sometimes get it to respawn for you once, but after 1-2 times, it goes away for a long time.. the standard reset (however long that is)

Also, I notice OOP mentioned the respawning anomaly in any nebula map, Which is cool and I'll have to check it out, but my tip was specific to an "Aid the Planet" mission map.
