Senators [Including Consul - Spartan ], IRF Command Staff [Fleet Senior Commander Galae'Enriov - Rihanha Dheno Fleet Deputy Commander Khre'Enriov - Fvillha Chiarman of the Tal Shiar Dhaemnasi - Zelgos], Officers and crew of Imperial Warbird Schenectady stand in a line, at attention, facing Empress Donatra who is about 3 steps away from them. Behind Empress Donatra is a table with representations of 4 elements (i.e., a candle flame, smoking incense, a container of water, and a bowl of soil). You noticed their arranged in a diamond shape with one Element at each corner. Empress Donatra has sashes, stripes, or pins for new rank and ceremonial knife. Empress's Honor guards stand in 2 rows, one to either side of ceremony with honored family and friends of the crew behind them. House of DeRhamme and Schenectady banner hang above and behind the table.
Begin ceremony. [At signal, officers and crew simultaneously bow then salute Empress Donatra. Empress Donatra returns salute, then draws knife (from table).]
Empress Donatra: "Crew of the Schenectady, fellow Centurions, and honored guest, today we celebrate your valor and honor. You have all served loyally and well, and the Elements reward those who are worthy. This blade takes the blood of traitors, but it gives glory to you who love your Imperial Warbird Schenectady and your Empire." "I now dedicate this blade to the Elements." Empress Donatra: " Khre'Enriov DeRhamme, step forward." [ Khre'Enriov DeRhamme steps forward]
Empress Donatra: "In the presence of the Elements, and by the power vested in me by the Imperial Senate, I hereby promote you to the rank of Galae Enriov ." [Galae Enriov DeRhamme bows head, Empress Donatra touches knife to Galae Enriov DeRhamme's forehead. Empress Donatra presents sash/stripes to Galae Enriov DeRhamme, who receives them in both hands. Galae Enriov DeRhamme holds the sash while Empress Donatra attaches the rank pin to Galae Enriov DeRhamme's sash.]
Empress Donatra: "Galae Enriov DeRhamme, do you now pledge: to perform your new duties honorably and well, to loyally obey your Empress and your Praetor, to serve your Empire first and always, and to uphold the honor of the Romulan people in all things?"
Galae Enriov DeRhamme: "By Fire and by Air, by Earth and by Water, and by the Archelement which encompasses them all, I do so pledge."
Empress Donatra: "Then may your new rank bring great deeds and glory to yourself and to the Empire."[ The Empress has you stand between her and the table, so you can assist in promoting the rest of your crew. After which you return to the formation, while the Empress and her escorts head to the Grand Hall.
Consul Spartan: "Crew of Imperial Warbird Schenectady, you are dismissed." [Crew bows to Empress Donatra and the Empress nods a return a sharp salute as a show of honor for the glory the crew has brought the Empire. Crew turn and walk to the side in single file line. Formal reception and Ale to follow in the Grand Hall. Now the slow process of heading into the hall begins.Galae Enriov DeRhamme, does an about face and returns to his position in formation.]
