I'm more curious about how we can tie the Motto into our 'blurb' and why would a group of Jedi and Sith decide to unite?

Their not allied. They are adversary guilds according to the guilds info on the swtor guilds page. I don't really know what that means though. The only time the two guilds will be playing together is fighting each other in PVP.

I don't think it's necessary to mention any explanation as to why there are two opposed guilds. Most people will have toons on both sides, because the quests are 100% different.

Balance in Diversity
Power in Diversity
Strength in Diversity
Or Wisdom in Diversity
All tie in well, it can show we are the same fleet/ect but give us our own tagline

"Winter is coming" haha!!

Nah,I agree, having two separate mottos for the two guilds is a good idea.

I like the "Balance in Diversity", "Strength in Diversity" etc. suggestion

As another thought, going on the Jedi code,

maybe something like
There is no hatred, there is diversity.
or
There is no fear, there is diversity.
or
There is no hatred, there is tolerance.
or
something that makes sense lol.

The full code being

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
(There is no chaos, there is harmony.)(*)
There is no death, there is the Force.
—The Jedi Code (Based on the meditations of Odan-Urr)

One other thought, playing on the original form of the jedi code (below), "Diversity, yet unity"

One of the key portions of the Code was a five-line mantra. Several versions of the mantra exist, though the original version was:
Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

You guys are all to soft and fluffy.

How about - We leave no witnesses...we kill everyone.

Believe it or not that was a motto our healers used in WoW during MC days. Ah the days of 40 man raids. B)

Sorry I couldn't resist it's Friday and I've not had my pot of coffee yet. :) Please take this in jest and fun.

Well, if we're gonna be Friday silly, how about,

"No, those aren't blasters in our pockets."

or

"These are the queers you're looking for"

or

"Feel our force flowing through you... Giggity!"

Did I cross a line? I'm still half-asleep myself...

I like this theme as well. If it needed to be "beefier" you could reword it to fit into BioWare's version of the Jedi and Sith Codes...

"In our Diversity, there is Unity" or some such.

RT uses that for most games, just tweek a few things and toss it into their guild description. It is kind of cute. lol

I do like DakonKor's suggestion, it sounds like something that fits in nicely with the Star Wars galaxy.

Okay... just rereading that, I had a bit of a personal revelation...

Did Yoda's species write the codes or something? ;-)

Totally off-topic, but I had to laugh, Xcentric: That sounds like a "code" my fiance lived by until we got a house together. He used to rearrange furniture in his apartment from time to time just for the sake of change.

lol. I must admit, I like to change things up from time to time as well. I want a bigger place! I love the apartment I live in and the location in the gay neighborhood in Vancouver just a couple blocks from the water, but I'd love a little house to "nest in" as well.

That said, I'm not a very good interior designer. Homo quotient fail.

That had me laughing. I was visioning furniture moving all over the place like a bad sci fi movie. :)

Becareful on up sizing your home. I did that with each new one I purchased and eventually was living in something to big for a single guy. I recently down graded to a very little house in the city and am very happy I did. I can clean the thing in 2 hours. ;P

Our house is a "little" on the big side for the two of us (3 bedroom, 2 bath), but seeing as we don't have a fenced in yard, there is plenty of room for our 3 dogs to tear around the house, plus we have two guest rooms for friends and family to stay in. We absolutely love the house, the neighborhood, and our neighbors. It really is true, when we walked into the place we KNEW it was "home" even before we knew about all the other perks (like great neighbors).
