Re:Character Biography

Name: Kaden Zepari

Race: El Aurian

Faction: Starfleet

Biography:
Born in 2179 on the El Aurian homeworld to High Councillor Tolian Zepari, leader of the Council of Elders and his wife Councillor Sia Zepari, Kaden had begun his Gathering when the Borg came. Little is known of his life before joining Starfleet, as is common with El Aurian survivors.
It is known that the El Aurian race are ancient and use their long lifespans to gather wisdom from all over the galaxy. The "Gathering" period of a young El Aurian's education sees them head off alone into the galaxy, sometimes for decades, to learn wisdom from new races. This wisdom was then returned to the El Aurian homeworld and freely shared. Young Kaden Zepari was completeing his Gathering during the Borg invasion of his homeworld and so escaped assimilation with only a handful of others. All known survivors are also reported to be complying with a decree issued in the final moments by the El Aurian Council of Elders before their destruction at the hands of the Borg. The decree known as the "El Aurian Edict" by intelligence agencies across the quadrant is rumoured to be the reason why El Aurians have not chosen to share some of the vast knowledge they are thought to posess, including most worryingly the existance of the Borg, in order to prevent that knowledge from falling into the wrong hands again. This theory has led to the race often being referred to as a "race of listeners".

Academy:
Ensign Zepari applied to the academy and was accepted on the recomendation of Vice Admiral Nakamura in 2365. It had been noted that Admiral Nakamura had previously attempted to persuade Ensign Zepari to apply but had been unsuccessful until this point. Kaden Zepari became the first El Aurian Starfleet cadet on record, although it has been suggested that many El Aurians have been part of Starfleet since its creation but have chosen not to reveal their true identity.
Although 186 years old in Federation terms when he enlisted, most of his fellow cadets were unaware of this until a classmate unearthed an image of him taken by the press in 2293 aboard the USS Enterprise B and realised he had not seemed to age in the interim. This incident led to Kaden being given the nickname "Methusalah" for a short time until he became the academy's Anbo-Jyutsu champion, breaking the previous record and proving that his age was no obsticle. He has always denied ever being a member of Red Squad.
During his time at the academy, Ensign Zepari excelled, collecting several sporting and academical awards. He graduated in 2368 with degrees in Astrophysics, Warp Field Mechanics, Quantum State Theory and Xenobiology. His performance led to him becoming one of the few cadets to be offered places on both the Command School and Starfleet Medical post-graduate courses. He chose the command path and completed his initial post-graduate training on Beta Aquilae II.
Ensign Zepari returned to the academy in 2396 after rejoining Starfleet to update his training and decided to reapply to Starfleet Medical. Although it is unusual for a cadet to be accepted twice, his long life span and the potential return on their investment encouraged to head of the academy to allow him to attend. He graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from Starfleet Medical in 2399

Career:
After graduating from the Starfleet Command School annex on Beta Aquilae II in 2369, Ensign Zepari was briefly assigned to Starbase 173 and given the post of docking operations commander, gaining vital piloting experience, before transfering to the USS Intrepid. Within his first two years abourd the Intrepid, he was promoted to Lieutenant and became second in command of the stellar cartography department.
Following the destruction of the USS Enterprise D in 2371, Star Fleet Intelligence took an interest in Lieutenant Zepari most likely due to pressure put on the commander of the Enterprise to provide details of the El Aurian race and their knowledge of the Borg, which had not been included in earlier reports. Although offered an immediate promotion and choice of future assignment if he agreed to provide information on the history of his people, he refused and was transfered to Utopia Planitia. Following the intervention of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Lieutenant Zepari agreed to join Starfleet Intelligence on the understanding that he would not have to act contrary to the beliefs of the El Aurian people unless the future of the Federation was in imminent danger.
Lieutenant Zepari completed his Advanced Tactical Training at an undisclosed location in 2372 and officially resigned his comission the same year. No record exists of any un-official duties completed on behalf of the Federation after this date.

Current Assignment:
Kaden Zepari rejoined Starfleet in 2396, at the rank of Ensign, and proceeded to train as a medical doctor at Starfleet Medical. All mention of Ensign Zepari's links to Starfleet Intelligence were removed from his records and he was sent to the Romulan front to aide the ongoing relief effort in 2399.
Following the outbreak of war with the Klingons in 2406, Ensign Zepari was reassigned to the new Klingon front as a medical doctor.
Dr Zepari's present location is unknown.

BASIC
Name: Oren-De "Oren" Saam Emun
Rank: Commander
Race: Enhasan
Age: 33
Height:
Weight:
Career: Tactical

BACKGROUND
Prior to Starfleet
Oren-De Saam Emun was born on the planet Enhasa in 2376. At the traditional age of 10, the planet's Meritocratic government placed him into the Ya-Shin caste. Oren-De has provided few details on his childhood, other than it was "normal". Recommendation letters from the Enhasan government indicate he excelled in physical activity and sports, possessed a "significant" aptitude for science, and had "leadership potential".

Starfleet Academy Record
At the age of 15, prompted by Starfleet's directive in 2391 to open up Starfleet officer training to non-member worlds, the Enhasan government began selecting a few individuals each year to apply to Starfleet Academy. The criteria the Enhasan government uses is kept secret. Oren-De was one of those selected. He applied and was accepted to Starfleet at the age of 17 in 2393.

Oren-De, or "Oren" as he became known among the few that knew him well at the Academy, demonstrated exceptional aptitude for physical pursuits and command simulations. While not very creative, Oren was found to be exceptionally efficient at organizing others. It was also noted that while he was usually cold and very formal to most, the few students who were among his close circle of friends found him to be warm and sociable. One of his instructors noted that his friends were those who had very similar academic and social standings of his own, and that Oren's social behavior may likely be a product of Enhasa's strict "meritocratic" caste system.

Starfleet Career
2397: Graduating from Starfleet Academy. First served aboard the USS Nadia as a junior security officer.
2401: Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
2402: While escorting a transport, the USS Nadia is attacked and boarded by the KDF. The invasion is repelled, though significant causalities are sustained, including Oren's superior. Multiple reports credit Oren's organization of those around him and brave actions as being instrumental to saving the ship.
2403: Promoted to the rank of Lt. Commander. Begins assignment as Bridge Tactical officer aboard the USS Prometheus-A.
2408: Promoted to the rank of Commander. Despite his youth, Oren is praised for his quick-thinking and handling of the crew in difficult situations.
2409: Given command of the USS Pandora.

Notes
Oren is known for his no-nonsense and calculating line of thinking. In a crisis, he is reliable, calm, and unshakable. However, in social situations, Oren can be cold and distant. To superiors, he is very formal and rarely speaks freely, even when asked. His first supervisors found him awkward. To subordinates significantly below him in rank, he can be cold and disregarding of their opinions. However, both of these traits have improved sufficiently over time that his previous commander felt he would make a fine command officer. He is warm and sociable to a small inner circle, usually those of similar standing to his own.

BASIC
Name: Edgar "Eddie" Temarak Calvin
Rank: Lt. Cmdr
Race: Romulan-Human hybrid.
Age: 27
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 243 lb
Career: Engineer

BACKGROUND
Pre-Birth And Early Years:
Born to the Romulan Tel'eram of the Line of Tellus and Human Lieutenant Scott Calvin in San Francisco in the year 2383. Tel'eram's family had barely just removed themselves from all Romulan governments in protest of Tal'aura's regime change, but Tel'eram at a young seventeen felt it necessary to remove herself from the turmoil of her homeworld. Seeking political asylum in federation space, the Titan agreed to assist in transporting her to Earth or at least the nearest starbase at their convenience. She offered her services as a triage nurse on the Titan until Capt. Riker was able to make the journey. During this time, Tel'eram began a romantic relationship with Lieutenant Calvin and by the time the Titan arrived at Earth, Tel'eram was pregnant. Lt. Calvin offered to marry Tel'eram and take a leave, which she graciously accepted. Calvin was present for the birth of his son, and the two chose to name him Edgar, a human name, to make it easier for life on Earth. Edgar suffered a terrible loss in 2388 when his mother died trying to aid evacuations on Romulus just one year prior. At this point Lt. Cmdr. Calvin requested Edgar be allowed to stay with him onboard the Titan.

Boarding School:
Edgar lasted only one year on the Titan before his father decided it was too dangerous and stressful for his only son to live onboard, and that the education received would not compare to that learned in a structured class environment. Edgar was enrolled in Golden Gate Starfleet Preparatory School in the year 2390 as a result. The school was not the ideal place for Edgar, as most of the boys bullied him for acting more human than Vulcan. For the first few years, Edgar mostly kept to himself and focused on the things that fascinated him. In 2394, Edgar's almost drastic change in height staved most of the prior bullying. When those few that still attempted to push him around were sorely corrected, the bullying stopped completely. His teachers began encouraging him to try various sports and other extracurricular activities to help use up some of his energy. To Edgar's enjoyment, and the professors' relief, Edgar chose to burn through his extra energy on the wrestling team and the swim team.

Joining the Academy:
In 2399, Edgar finally began to admit he was different more than just in his Romulan heritage. He focused on other things around this time to distract him, going as far as to apply to Starfleet Academy, the next logical step for most of his classmates at Prep School. There was a slight controversy for his application, given that most still feared the turmoil with the Romulan Star Empire would too easily affect him. In 2400, Edgar's lineage, something he was unaware of, was outed as one of the, if not the, last surviving heirs of the line of Tellus. In the end, his aptitude and loyalty to his father and the Federation far outweighed the risks any such controversy attempted to muster, and he was accepted to Starfleet Academy in 2401.

Starfleet Academy:
Over the next six years, Edgar studied at Starfleet Academy and earned degrees in both Computer Programming and Engineering by the year 2407. He also tried out for and joined the Starfleet wrestling and swim teams. During his college days, Edgar explored more into the similarities between Vulcans and Romulans, gaining a great deal of insight with their various techniques for controlling their emotions and calculating their logic. It was also during this time that he began exploring who he was as an individual and coming to terms with the fact. Edgar graduated eleventh in his class.

Starfleet:
Upon graduation he was awarded the rank of ensign and assigned to the U.S.S. New Orleans. After his first year of service, Edgar took and passed the Bridge Officer training course; enabling him to serve on the bridge when necessary. While serving aboard the New Orleans throughout the next year and a half, Edgar proved himself a valuable asset as an engineering team member on all types of away missions.

Re:Character Biography

January 26 2010

Name: Steven R. Rasilek

Species: El Aurian/Human

Age: 117 Years

Assignment: USS Deep Sky, NCC-74121-A

Background
Born in 2294 and raised on Alpha Centauri. Father (Calin Rokien) was an El Aurian refugee among those rescued by the Enterprise-B a year prior. Mother, Joanna, was human and served as a community outreach representative for the Federation. Following his rescue, Calin took residence at Alpha Centauri where he met Joanna Rasilek, where they eventually married and had 2 children.

Joanna fell ill to a rare nerve ailment while enroute home from a follow-up visit with a new race. She died in 2310 despite extensive treatment. Calin remained in Alpha Centauri, raising his 2 sons and giving them their mother’s last name in her beloved memory.

Aside from graduating with honors at Alpha Centauri University, not much is known of Steven’s upbringing at that time until he left for Starfleet Academy in 2350. However, Steven had seemed to take on his El Aurian side with regards to life span, of which his physicians predict would endure for several hundred years.

Early Starfleet Career
Steven graduated from SFA in 2357, excelling mainly in Astrophysics and Starship Engineering. He spent the first years of his career at the shipyards of Earth Spacedock where he participated as a systems design assistant in multiple starship construction projects. In 2365, he accepted a new assignment on the Enterprise-D where he worked among various science and engineering teams until the ship’s destruction in 2371.

Steven then took promotion to Lieutenant and a new assignment at Starbase 119 as Spacedock operations coordinator, meanwhile pursuing a personal construction project on the side. His resourcefulness earned from his time at the shipyards allowed him to finish design of the USS Deep Sky, an Excelsior class cruiser meant for deep space exploration and study.

Following the Deep Sky’s commission in 2373, it wasn’t long until Rasilek was assigned command of the vessel amidst a shortage of resources under the growing incursion of the Dominion into Federation space. The ship was then outfitted with weaponry vice its science equipment in hopes to benefit the war front.

Steven quickly adapted into his command of a starship through applying his knowledge of the ship’s design along with his interdisciplinary experience from his time on the Enterprise.

Wartime Tribulation
In 2374, while on patrol along bordering territories, the Deep Sky came under attack by a squad of Jem Hadar warships. She put up a strong fight before a Starfleet/Klingon Patrol group had arrived to assist. The Deep Sky was ultimately destroyed before the reinforcements could completely ward off the remaining Jem-Hadar ships. While Rasilek’s order to abandon ship was narrowly successful, nearly all hands were still lost while the Jem Hadar proceeded to incinerate many of the fleeing escape pods. Rasilek was among the 47 remaining crew that survived the onslaught, out of the 320 souls aboard.

Meanwhile, Rasilek’s father and brother had both been killed while visiting Betazed during that world’s invasion by Dominion forces.

In dealing with personal struggle over the loss of his crew, his friends, and family during the war, Steven deemed himself unfit for duty and he resigned from Starfleet in 2375 shortly after the non-aggression treaty was signed with the Dominion. He then took residence on Earth, a hiatus lasting for over 30 years.

Return to Space
In 2407 at 113 years old, Rasilek came to terms with his previous experiences. Growing bored of his civilian life, the stars called once more and he decided to return to Starfleet. Steven was required to take a series of refresher courses at SFA where he also took another degree in Tactical Studies. He once more became an officer in 2409, but with the rank of Lt. Commander. He was assigned to the USS Moontide, a Centaur class vessel where he assisted in defense and rescue during the 3rd Borg Incursion into Federation Space. Following the Borg’s defeat, he was promoted to Commander and given command of the ship by Admiral Quinn shortly thereafter. Rasilek accepted.

As the continued conflict with the Borg raged on, Rasilek served through several command assignments, and several ships including the USS Astoria, the USS Alero, and the USS Arroway. His numerous commendations on the warfront had promptly earned him the rank of Captain. As that tour against the Borg concluded, his new assignment had ultimately returned him to the Captain’s chair of the Deep Sky-A, a grand Odyssey class starship that bears the name once more.

Currently, the Deep Sky has since departed Federation space and, with Starfleet and its allies, continues its mission of exploration into the Delta Quadrant, operating strategically in exploration and diplomatic envoy in tandem with the USS Eno under command of Rasilek’s close colleague, Captain Arlo K’tzik.

Known fondly by his colleagues as "Ras", Steven is a noted and passionate musician of the guitar, piano and vocals, playing regularly with his crewmates within bands and other casually-arranged ensembles through their voyages.

Re:Character Biography

January 30 2010
Well I have a Borg female called Lady Gaga and she is Captin of the USS Disco Stick.

Here is her bio:

In 2018 Lady Gaga was running out of bizarre stuff to do. Resourceful as she was she whipped up a new plan to rise to the top of the charts. She would become the first pop star ever to be cryogenically frozen. Lady Gaga went to cryo-corp to have her body frozen for a year. She assured her loyal fan base that she just needed some beauty rest and time to think up some new music for a year or so. With much fan fair she was frozen live during the 2018 MTV music awards. Unfortunately for Lady Gaga though the public is quick to forget. With in 6 months the world had forgotten all about her.

Her manager moved on to a new pop sensation and left Lady Gaga to stay frozen in cold storage for years. Eventually in the great economic collapse of the year 2100 caused cryo-corp and many of the other companies went bankrupt. Many of the companies had their inventory and excess stock sold off or moved to a storage facility in the Alpha quadrant. She spent the next few hundred years in cold storage frozen and helpless.

It was not until sometime recently that she was found. Unfortunately for her the Borg found the storage facility with many of the frozen bodies that were left on ice. In need of drones they thawed and assimilated anyone at the facility including Lady Gaga. Her uniqueness was added to the Borg… unfortunately for them though she was just a little too unique. Since she had spent so long in deep freeze Lady Gaga had not been able to sing for ages. Her urge to perform for the hive mind became unbearable for them. After about the 100th time she sang Poker Face the hive mind snapped.

The Borg marooned her on a desert planet and abruptly disconnected her form the hive mind. Lady Gaga almost did not survive being disconnected from the hive mind so abruptly. She wandered around the planet singing songs and looking for food and shelter till the Federation came along. One day an away team on one of the local patrol ships beamed down to the planet when they found a single Borg life form. They found Lady Gaga standing there twitching and trying to dance while she sand something about taking a ride on a disco stick.

The federation took her in and helped her get back to as close to normal as possible. Lady Gaga would never be able to perform again though. The Borg had so rapidly disconnected her from the hive mind that it left her with an uncontrollable twitch. Not knowing what else to do Lady Gaga joined up with the federation to help destroy the Borg that left her unable to perform.

Yezar woke up in the sickbay of the USS Hoverman with no recollection of what happened to put him there. He was informed that the Hoverman had picked up an escape pod that was long gone. After a year of psychiatric he was informed he could join Starfleet.

After 4 years in the academy and only 2 hours at Ensign he got promoted to Lt. and given the command of the USS Navajo.

The rest of this is still in the making .

2408-Present Chief, Warp Core Specialist, USS da Vinci

Family: Jarteth Hassel, father, 44, Guardian; Gallena Hassel, mother, 45, Guardian; Fezil Hassel, brother, 26, Lieutenant Commander in Starfleet, Deepspace 5

Talents/Abilities: Kal has an uncanny affinity for machines of all sorts. From computer programming to building of actual hardware, running diagnostics to operating complex systems, if its mechanical or electronic, chances are that Kal can use it, repair it, or maybe even make it better. His expertise however, is in both warp core mechanics as well as robotics.

Special Abilities: As a joined Trill, Kal has the ability to call upon the memories, thoughts, and experiences of the previous nine hosts, as well as those of the Rel symbiont.

Strengths: Kal's insight into the mechanical nature of things lends itself to a highly organized and structured lifestyle. He is never one to misplace something, or forget an important piece of information.

Limitations: Kal's greatest weakness is his lack of communication skills with other people, preferring the rigid and ordered world of machines to being social. While this has slightly improved since his joining with Rel, he still has difficulty overcoming his natural tendency towards shyness and his awkward speech patterns.

Likes: Machines, computers, and anything of the sort are Kal's greatest love in life. He enjoys burying himself in his work as well, rather than make friends or perhaps find himself a lover. The Rel symbiont has brought its own preferences to the new psyche of course, including a few that sit quite awkwardly with the host, from going to parties and dancing.

Dislikes: Being the center of attention is both Kal's most terrifying moment, and Rel's favourite pastime. Kal has a strange dislike for most foods, preferring to eat things most would consider bland. Of course Rel, being more outgoing, is doing it's best to change all of this.

Ambitions: Kal would be quite happy to live out his life, serving on board an advanced starship, a place where he can immerse himself in the latest technologies. Finding a lover is a whimsical desire of his, but one he figures won't likely occur so he needent bother trying. Someday, Kal's secret hope is that he might perfect slipstream technology for the Federation, though the thought of all the attention it would get him makes him nervous.

Quirks: Though usually quiet and soft-spoken, Kal can become suddenly quite animated and expressive, a testament to the symbiont's part of his new personality. This combination of being shy and outgoing at the same time often leads to him saying very strange things or confusing others.

Hobbies/Interests: Besides staying up to date with the latest in technology and mechanics, as well as building little robots from spare parts, Kal has an avid appreciation for art. His quarters are filled with objects from many different cultures, a sort of eye-wrenching combination that can make others wince at times. Since joining, Kal has found a love for dancing as well, a favourite activity of Rel's, as well as a taste for wine, poetry, and sappy holo-novels, all of which he does his best to keep secret from others.

Languages: Federation Standard, Trill

Education:

Primary, Uesentala School, Hoobishan, Trill
Starfleet Enlisted Training, USS Newton

Personal History:

Born to Guardian parents, those who tend the symbiont pools within the Caves of Mak'ala on Trill, Kalid Hassel and his older brother were always at odds with the strict, monastic life their family led. Neither child seemed caught up in the typical Trill obsession with becoming joined, however, perhaps a testament to having their lives revolve around the symbionts. While Fezil was outgoing, athletic, and charming, Kal as he was nicknamed was more introspective, quiet, and tended to follow where others might lead. This explains why when the brothers entered into Starfleet that Fezil went to the Academy for officer training, while Kal took the shorter enlisted training on board the Vesper Class starship USS Newton.

Kalid and Rel's joining later would never have been sanctioned by the Symbiosis Commission on Trill, and the pair soon found out just how seemingly ill-suited they were for each other. Rel's previous hosts had all been outgoing, eager for new and exciting experiences, a passion the symbiont itself shared. Now, however, Rel was a part of a shy, easily-embarrassed young man who's idea of fun was building a toy robot in his off hours. The expressive, friendly, passionate, and romantic symbiont found itself completely at odds with Kal's personality, enough so that the normally comfortable bonding of two people into one has become a long, drawn-out process of compromises.

Starfleet Service:

When he was nineteen, Kal left his home on Trill, enlisting into Starfleet and undergoing his training on board the USS Newton. It was here he discovered his passion for machines and computers, and quickly proved himself to be a highly capable young man, quick to follow orders, and clever enough to be given a task and left on his own.

While the Newton was on an extended mission of the Hromi Cluster, the ship was attacked and destroyed by a Klingon Bird of Prey that surprised them with their shield's down. Kal, along with numerous others, managed to reach the escape pods before the ship was destroyed. Marala Rel, a joined Trill and the ships' executive officer, was on board the same escape pod as Kalid, though she had been mortally injured trying to save other officers during the evacuation. Fortunately for the symbiont, there was both another Trill and a doctor in the pod as well, and Marala begged the young engineer to become Rel's next host. His decision was rushed, as her injuries were dire, but in the end and despite many misgivings, Kal agreed.

Kalid Rel, along with the other survivors from the USS Newton, were picked up by another Federation starship, the USS Galilei, and transported back to Earth. For three months they were treated medically and psychologically, before receiving their new assignments. Kal was stationed on board the USS da Vinci, a state of the art Emissary Class vessel. Here, through his own skill and dedication, and through the ever-increasing stability and command abilities the Rel symbiont was providing to their new personality, Kalid quickly rose to the rank of Chief, the youngest non-comissioned officer on board.

Bio for Grabstar to-Srallansre

(my kitty person alt. See the book "Uhura's Song' for more info on this race)

Before my Walk I was known as Grabfoot to-Ennien. After being visited by the star people of the Enterprise as a child I knew my destiny was to grab the stars from the sky.

After I took my Walk I made my appeal to the Elders to use the Star Talker that Starfreedom to-Eeiauo and James T. Kirk to-Eeiauo left with us and called out to the stars.

I have outlived Starfreedom and James T. Kirk, but I carry on their spirit in my exploration.

2383: The U.S.S. Titan, under the command of Captain W. T. Riker, received an emergency distress call while en route to Starbase 51 for maintenance and R&R following their encounter with the Neyel. The distress call was traced to the Trill homeworld, and the Titan set a course at maximum warp to assist. Their hail was responded to by a director at the Trill Science Ministry, Wakien Pyr, who claimed planetary sensors had detected an unusual temporal anomaly in extreme close proximity to the planet, immediately after which a large rectangular alien device had ‘materialised’ in the Science Ministry headquarters’ central quad. Several witnesses claimed to have seen a humanoid alien exit the box controlling a small hover–sled with some form of crate aboard, and had entered one of the science buildings. Captain Riker asked the area to be evacuated of civilian personnel, and for what little of the peaceful Trill’s security forces to form a perimeter, until they arrived and an away team could be sent down to assist. Director Pyr admitted to being extremely agitated and begged Riker to hurry, insisting that while the device appeared to have human writing upon it, scans could not identify its construction materials or any obvious energy signature, and were unable to penetrate beyond the outer surface.

The Titan entered orbit less than a quarter of an hour later and immediately beamed down an armed party to the Science Ministry, led by Commander Tuvok. The device still occupied the centre of the ministry quad, just over a metre square base and nearly three metres tall, and a rich dark blue in colour that contrasted with the more sombrely coloured science buildings. The away team arrived in time to see what appeared to be a human dashing over to the box and entering through a thin door in one side. There followed a noise reportedly similar to a misaligned turbolift rapidly ascending and descending its tube, and the box faded out of sight. The away team reported to the Titan that Tricorder scans detected an antichroniton residue, but otherwise could offer no explanation. Tuvok concluded that the nature and origin of the device was irrelevant at that juncture, remarking that according to reports the visitor had taken an object into the complex, but had failed to leave with it. Therefore, logically, it still remained within the Ministry.

A careful search of the offices and labs located the object, still sat on its hover–sled, in the entrance to one of the medical labs in the lower basement. It had been jury–rigged into one of the base’s power distribution junctures using parts from a nearby replicator that Tuvok postulated had been disassembled with hypersonic pliers. Scans revealed it to be a variable pseudo–environmental eco–tank containing a synthetic fluid similar to that found in Trill Symbiont breeding pools, as well as a juvenile Symbiont. Ministry Doctors were summoned and ran extensive medical tests to both confirm its species and establish its health. Their tests concluded that although the Symbiont was relatively healthy and strong, its physiology subtly differed from other Trill Symbionts in ways that implied it had grown under extremely different environmental conditions to the Trill homeworld. While the artificial ‘pool’ it had arrived in seemed designed to maintain it indefinitely, it would not be able to survive outside of that environment without a host to help sustain it. The surplus of willing and eager hosts on Trill was however complicated by this Symbiont’s slight biochemical and physical differences. A required genetic profile for a plausible host was generated and distributed throughout the network of host candidates. Almost all were found immediately to be incompatible, and the few remaining who were transported to the Science Ministry for further tests were eventually ruled out as well. The Ministry had no choice but to leave the orphan contained within its tank until a suitable host could be found, or until a way could be found to allow it to acclimatise to Trill and the normal breeding pool composition.

The Department of Temporal Investigations sends two agents to investigate the incident; a veteran Agent Yates, along with a newly recruited Agent Dulmur. They begin by interviewing the direct witnesses to the incident, but discover very little, and so eventually expand their interviews to all personnel at the Ministry. The only piece of new information they are able to glean is from a janitor who failed to evacuate the building when the alarm sounded. He claimed to have begun making his way off the premises before being stopped by a man claiming to be a doctor, who apologised for the inconvenience and assured him there was no reason to leave after all, asserting that it was merely an unanticipated sensor accuracy that had caused alarm in the first place. The agents were unable to identify the alleged doctor. Agent Dulmur recalled hearing of a similar incident from his father, who also served in the Department of Temporal Investigations. Neither investigation resulted in a satisfactory resolution.

–––

2400: Seventeen years after the arrival of the orphan on Trill, and no progress had been made in finding a compatible host, or any information as to the genealogy of the orphan or identity of the being that had brought it to Trill. The Symbiont still resided in the apparently bespoke container it had arrived in, although it had been moved to a permanent location within the medical facility. Extremely numerous attempts to make contact with it had failed, as doctors struggled to find a way to communicate through its unique biochemical surroundings. The only plausible solution suggested, by a radical Trill doctor and scientist named Torbel Na’b caused a huge amount of controversy and debate both within the Trill Science Ministry, Trill society, and around the Federation in general.

Na’b had spent the last decade working with Starfleet Medical studying an abandoned outpost apparently built by the Borg that had been discovered in a remote system in the B’Tran Cluster. It would appear the Borg had been attempting to clone genetically enhanced bodies based on different species, although they had been unsuccessful in turning them into viable drones and the outpost had been left to deteriorate to the point where almost the entire power grid had failed. However, the ship that discovered the base had managed to stabilise one of the stasis pods they had found, which contained the only fully preserved specimen remaining. It appeared to be entirely functional physically, but had no detectable sign of consciousness, something the Borg were unable to replicate. The test subject was labelled only by the Borg as #1479–63607, and was a Trill male. The body itself was estimated to be no more than four years old, although anatomically its initial growth had been accelerated to be equivalent to a young fully grown adult, post–pubescent, plausibly in its very late teens and therefore theoretically in peak health. The minor genetic enhancements made by the Borg meant that it had a high tissue regeneration rate, and a particularly strong circulation that caused uncharacteristically warm hands for a Trill. None of these differences however ruled the body out as a potential host candidate, aside from the entirely untested consequence of putting a Symbiont into a consciousless body, and Na’b believed the genetic enhancement made by the Borg would be sufficient to allow the orphan Symbiont to bond successfully and survive.

Moral opinion groups throughout the Federation debated whether Na’b should be allowed to attempt the experiment. Eventually, a council convened by the Science Ministry ruled that the Symbiont was not able to exist to its full potential under its current conditions, and since the body created by the Borg had no conscious or subconscious, and could only biologically operate with the aid of life support, it could not be ruled to be a life–form in its own right. Permission was granted for Na’b to proceed.

The joining process appeared to be a success, although it took several weeks of recovery and adaption before the Symbiont became able exert proper control over the body, and months before it was able to begin to coherently communicate. The operation was a medical first for many reasons, and the first recorded time a Joined Trill had components from only one individual. The only piece of information the Symbiont was able to share was the name it had known itself as; PjhN. The language and origin of the name remain untraceable, and it appeared to be the only memory the Symbiont had of its past, and the only piece of self–identity it had had.

Following PjhN’s recuperation he began an intensive education program, finding he had a natural aptitude for military tactics and sciences and learnt extremely quickly, and trained regularly to recover from the atrophy his body had suffered for more than the first twenty years of its life. He adopted Na’b as a father in the absence of any other family.

---

2404: PjhN elected to enlist in Starfleet in the hopes of one day discovering the identity of the Symbiont parents he must have. He enrolled at Starfleet Academy Officer’s College, Tactical branch.

2408: PjhN starts his first tour of duty following graduation, aboard the U.S.S. Chelonian.

2409: Following a Borg attack in which the entire senior staff are killed, Ensign PjhN took command of the Chelonian. Shortly after, a promotion by Admiral Quinn to Lieutenant earns PjhN command of a test advanced refit Constitution class Cruiser; registry NX–92775. PjhN names her U.S.S. Blind Io. Further field promotions followed as Starfleet rushed to identify capable officers suitable for rapid advancement to deal with the wars on the Klingon and Borg fronts, and PjhN was asked to command a Heavy Cruiser, and then an Exploration Cruiser, as demand required to meet the war effort.

Mid–2409: PjhN, having received a multitude of accolades, is promoted to Rear Admiral and placed in command of the latest prototype Imperial/Sovereign hybrid Assault Cruiser, which he names the U.S.S. Blind Io, NX–92775–C.

Name: Jeremisias Mystal
Race: Betazoid
Homeworld: Betazed
Current Rank: Commander - Science Track

Jeremisias is the only male child of a noble Betazed family. Being from a Matriarchal society, he felt he could never reach his full potential on his homeworld. Being a skilled speaker as well as science student, his parents encouraged him toward Starfleet, a place for him to excel without restriction.

He was born shortly after the Dominion War, and his parents greatly respected the federation for their freedom. They knew their son could give back to their saviors in a way they could not.

Jeremisias was happy to go and longed to travel the stars. Due to his high intelligence he excelled at the academy, he did a double major in Diplomacy as well as Astrometrics. He displayed exceptional leadership skills in a training accident, skills that resulted in the safe return of himself and his crewmates. These crewmates and fellow recruits greatly respected him and later become his Bridge Officers.

Upon graduation, on his first commission, he was forced to take command of a starfleet vessel. His actions aided greatly against the borg threat as well as providing aid to those in need. This resulted in being given his own ship the USS-ZODIAC-A.

He recuited his comrades from the academy, and together they ventured out, to find new worlds and civilizations.

Re: Character Biography

Name: Butcher
Race: Ferengi
Homeworld: Ferenginar

Butcher never really had the lobes for business. Even while he still had his first set of ears, his father berated him for his poor grasp of the business. Unsurprisingly, he had little interest in the Continuum and the rules of acquisition. It all bored him and reminded him of his father's abuse. He much preferred playing tactical war games over the subspace net with the Human and Andorians.

That life could not last forever, though; eventually his father disowned him for disgracing his family name. Leaving home, however, turned out to be the best thing that had ever happened to him. Shortly after leaving he found and fell in with "the bad crowd"; a gang of youths who glamourised the Klingon way of life and practised fighting in secret. He renounced his name and insisted upon remaining nameless until he could earn a name worthy of his skill and prowess.

Silence was his primary weapon within the gang, watching, waiting and learning. He may not have had the lobes for business but he definitely had a mind for tactics. As a result, he excelled within the group, earning the conspicuously Human name of "Butcher Sphynx" due to his brutality and silent, enigmatic nature. He eventually fought his way to the top, maintaining his alpha rank by defeating all comers until he was old enough to join Starfleet.

He was accepted quickly and his excellence in the tactical programs made him a very promising cadet; or would have had fighting not managed to follow wherever he went. It was not as if he actively sought out turmoil or conflict, he did his absolute best to be a model cadet, but just as on Ferenginar, fighting seemed to gravitate to him. If it wasn't someone trying to take down the toughest looking punter in the bar to prove his manliness, it was a bully living under the impression that all Ferengi were pathetic, whimpering cowards.

Butcher eventually found himself reporting to Captain's Mast. During the mast, his future at the academy was looking very dim; but were it not for a Colonel that witnessed the latest brawl in which Butcher had injured several of his MACO regulars, he most certainly would have been expelled. The officer made a request for clemency on Butcher's behalf, proposing a cadet exchange with the Academy CO: Butcher would be sent to Quantico to learn discipline and obedience and a MACO cadet would take his place at the Academy. Eventually the finer points of the exchange were worked out and Butcher began his cross training where he immediately found himself instructing hand to hand combat to the MACO cadets. The exchange, as it turned out, was done only for MACO's benefit. The colonel had recognised a strategy in Butcher's chaotic and seemingly unpredictable fighting style, so made the exchange under false pretences in order to acquire him as an instructor. He wasn't a fool, though; he knew that it would only be temporary and that when the exchange was over, there had better be some progress to show for it. To that end, Butcher was put through his paces and ridden very hard in order to break him down. A year later, when he was returned to the Academy, he was permanently MACO. He graduated with honours in the top of his class, was given an immediate promotion to Lieutenant, and even given a battlefield promotion to acting captain during the Veyga conflict; many claim him to be one of the finest officers the Academy has ever produced, but once a MACO, always a MACO.

Re: Character Biography

Name: Aiden Davoi
Species: Human

Born August 7, 2382 (Stardate 59599.3) in Seattle, Earth, Aiden is the only child of Ethan and Sara Davoi. Master Chief Petty Officer Ethan Davoi was a senior engineering superintendent—formerly a Warp Core Technician aboard the USS Voyager—assigned to Starfleet R&D due to his familiarization with both early transwarp and quantum stlipstream technologies. Dr. Sara Davoi was a research scientist and team lead in theoretical propulsion design at Utopia Planitia tasked with analyzing and expanding on technologies discovered and subsequently brought back from the Delta quadrant. Though Aiden grew up on Earth, he spent much of his youth around starships and warp drives due to the nature of his parent’s work. His parents recognized his aptitude for engineering early and actively encouraged his development along those lines. By the age of 14, Aiden was already a competent pilot. Aiden's acceptance to Starfleet Academy in 2400, sponsored by long time family friend and mentor Admiral Kathryn Janeway, made him the first commissioned officer in his family—an accomplishment that made his father particularly proud.

Career:
Prior to the Borg invasion 2409, Aiden’s Starfleet career was lackluster. An Academy graduate of the Class of 2404 dual majoring in Astrophysics and Quantum Mechanics and Starship Engine Design, he was most noted for his involvement with the Academy Gymnastics Team and the Flight Demonstration Team, Nova Squadron. Though he was an excellent student and an accomplished engineer and pilot, his instructors never seriously considered him command material.

Post graduation, Aiden served at Utopia Planitia involved in a variety of projects including the continued development of transwarp drive technology, the adaptation of quantum slipstream drive technology to existing Starfleet vessels, and propulsion modifications focusing on increased efficiency and survivability. His only deep space assignments include maintenance officer overseeing mission readiness of auxiliary spacecraft aboard the USS Beale and warp system specialist aboard the USS Strahl. Aiden did not see combat on the Klingon Front until after taking command of the USS Strahl in 2409 at the Battle of Vega.

Since taking command of the USS Odin, Aiden has become a prominent figure within the affairs of the Federation as an accomplished diplomat and distinguished combat veteran—his most recent accomplishment, Starfleet Attaché to Mol'Rihan. He has cultivated strong diplomatic ties to the Reman independence movement and earned a reputation as a protector of the Defari. As part of Stonewall Fleet, under discretionary detachment from Starfleet Operations Command, he leads a task group of fourteen vessels making up the 9th Expeditionary Task Force.

Aiden is currently romantically involved with Rear Admiral Malco Arion—joined Trill, commanding officer of the USS Belias, and Vice Group Commander of the 9th ETF. His closest friends include Commander Kelsi “Three” Ty and Commander Orin Ryce.

Personality:
Aiden thrives under stress, is a patriot, and a strong believer in the ideals of the Federation. He is as much a soldier as an engineer and will dutifully take up arms in defense of the Federation believing that sometimes the ends do justify the means. Aiden has an accepting and easy-going nature that has lent itself to his casual command style, taking a philosophy of “protective older brother” as opposed to the more stern traditional military hierarchy of most Starfleet vessels. Though he never seriously considered command as a career option, Aiden has never been more at home than he is as commanding officer of the USS Odin.

U.S.S. Odin
NCC-93401, Galaxy-class (refit) Fleet Exploration Cruiser

First commissioned in 2375 at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards above Mars, this Federation cruiser first saw combat in the final weeks of the Dominion War—including the last offensive push to Cardassia. Following the war, the Odin received its first refit and much of her service revolved around minor exploration and mapping, diplomatic missions, and post-war Dominion observation in the Gamma Quadrant. The destruction of the Hobus star saw the USS Odin redeployed along the unstable Romulan boarder, participating in coordinated humanitarian and diplomatic missions in response to the disaster and subsequent flow of refugees from unstable Romulan/Reman space.

The USS Odin was assigned to Battle Group Omega following the thwarted invasion of the Vega Colony by the Borg in 2409 and nearly destroyed during a subsequent encounter with the Borg near NGC-2447 in the Mutara Sector. The heroic dedication and sacrifice of the officers and crew managed to save the ship and it limped back to the battle group and ultimately towed back to Sol for its second refit. During that refit, Captain Aiden Davoi took command and implemented several modifications to the ship that resulted in increased auxiliary spacecraft support—thus, the 901st Tactical Fighter Squadron was permanently attached to the USS Odin. Additional modifications included Aegis Technological Research Systems, modified Borg systems, enhanced MK XII weapons arrays, and limited quantum slipstream and transwarp capabilities.

The ship now serves as flagship of the 9th Expeditionary Task Force on discretionary detachment with Stonewall Fleet under the command of Vice Admiral Aiden Davoi.

Dedication: "Not all those who wander are lost."
Motto: "Fortuna audax"

Auxiliary Spacecraft: 10 personal shuttles (5 Type-8, 3 Type-9, 2 Type-11), 3 Danube-class Runabouts, 3 Argo-class Transports, 1 Delta-class Runabout (USS Strahl, NCC-93401-A), 1 Aeon-class Timeship (USS Epoch, NCV-93401-B ), 12 Shuttlepods, and 24 Peregrin-class Fighters, 12 Valkyrie-class Interceptors; Captain's Yacht

Re: Character Biography

February 27 2013
Night was born on Earth year unknown
Took advanced Enginneering in Star Fleet Academy.
Was disciplined multiple times for arguing with his instructors, but not for being wrong, but for proving them wrong. His file also shows his Iq is off the charts, as is his anger and way of vengence.
Once on senior year a Ferengi classmate played a prank on Night, The Ferengi was later expelled from Starfleet Academy for Contraband on campus, which he claims Night planted on him.
His first assignment was aboard the USS Kandy
There he used his talents and made a 50 year old ship almost as nice as some of the best of the fleet according to Captain Myth.
Captain Myth also promoted him to Cheif Engineer after Night was able to show the captain how to advance power from the warp core to the shield systems.
However during a mission Lt Night was injured and taken to starbase 44 for an operation, The Kandy was ordered to confront a Klingon ship and during the battle, the Kandy was destroyed. The Klingons claimed the ship exploded, but according to logs, they were destroyed by the Klingon ship.
When Night awoke and found out about the Kandy he was furious and had to be kept in a holding cell to prevent escape during his recovery.
However when released, Night took some time off and went to Kronos, came back 3 days later after getting into armed combat with the Klingon captain who destroyed the Kandy. According to Klingon tradition, Night defeated and killed the Captain.
He was not charged as the Klingons said it was honorable combat and Night won fair and square.
Night bounced around for a year before being promoted and assigned to The Sally Ride.
Night has currently been on the USS Sally Ride for 3 months now, and according to ships counselor is happy and highly productive, but also protective and secretive. He blamed himself some for the destruction of the Kandy. He will not talk about his past before the Academy, and there is no record of him that can be found at this time.
Warning!
Lt Commander Night is highly trained in combat and engineering and can be blunt with how he words things. He can take things personally and may take revenge if his feelings are hurt. No Records of his past is a concern, but Night assures everyone nothing is wrong or bad, its just very private. It has been told his entire family is deceased and he is the only member of his family left alive. When asked about this the subject was changed.
Sally Ride Counsellor.

Re: Character Biography

December 25 2013
I just wrote this backstory for my Liberated Borg.
I personally think it's very good, even though the end is rushed a bit (but that's because it's 2 am here now).

Amanda Amans (prefers Calanthe)
Career: engineer
Age: 35
Current ship: U.S.S. Caennaire

Born to Starfleet parents, Calanthe had always lived on starships or starbases. However at the age of eight, the ship she was living on was attacked by the Borg. The U.S.S. Arcus Pluvius, a science ship, had been almost destroyed by the Borg before they boarded. The took the girl, named Amanda Amans back then, and assimilated her.

Five years later a single Borg cube was sent to Earth. For some reason this cube had been cut off from the collective and the drones had become individuals. When cooporation between the now individual drones failed and they did not succeed in rejoining the Collective, they became anxious and violent towards each other. Eventually factions arose and after a while the most violent factions were obliterated.

By this time the survivors had developed a self preservation instinct and managed to agree to a cease fire. Negotiations between the factions eventually led to one simple conclusion: everyone wanted to go home. Or what was their home before they got assimilated.

However, with over a hundred different species on this cube, going home wasn't as simply as it sounded. Aside from the fact that the homes of some of these species were completely obliterated by now, some species were in war with each other. The Klingons (all three survivors out of 238 Klingons of them) wanted to go Qo'nos, the Cardassians to Cardassia Prime and so on. Almost another war broke out on the cube.

However, most of the former drones had memories about the Federation. Not necessarily their own memories, but memories nonetheless. Almost all of them suggested that Starfleet was always willing to help. Starfleet would be the place where they had the biggest chance at survival. Starfleet was the place that would see everyone home or at least a safe place to live.

The one who brought this idea on the table was Two of Five, faction leader (they didn't bother with faction names; they knew who belonged to who's faction). A course was set for Earth.

The following message was sent to Starfleet Headquarters and every ship around Earth by the Borg cube (now surrounded by a dozen Starfleet ships):
‘We come in peace. We request permission to send three drones to the surface for negotiations. We expect an answer in one Earth-hour.’

One hour later an answer was received by the Borg:
‘One drone is permitted to beam down on the grounds of Starfleet Headquarters.’

The former drones agreed and Two of Five was beamed down. When she arrived, a total of fifteen Starfleet officers surrounded her, plus a few snipers on the roofs surrounding her. An admiral walked to Two of Five and welcomed her.
‘I have chosen the name of Calanthe for myself, but I was known as Amanda Amans before I was assimilated. I am here to negotiate the safe de-assimilation of every remaining drone on the cube and a safe return to our homes.’
The admiral, visibly surprised, welcomed these negotiations.

By the time the de-assimilation of the drones was complete, Calanthe had already joined Starfleet, not knowing what to do else now that everyone was safe.

Let me know what you think about it!
I am thinking of actually writing this story as a fanfic.
