I don't remember when it went on sale but I got mine in on 07.21.2011 we will see what happens.

Holy cows! $400-$500 for CE?!?!?!? Glad I got mine in July. I checked my account on the official forums and I redemed the code on the 21st of July. I'm hopeful I'll get in at least by the 16th or 17th.
I'm more worried about the game client as I have a new computer that will need to down load everything. Blah!!!

Yesterday, I got a message that the Launcher was updating. After waiting quite a while, I had to terminate it. When I tried this morning, I got an error message that equated to the launcher.exe being corrupted.
Being the digital pack rat that I am, I still had the original exe setup file. After running that and repairing the installation (which took like 2 minutes) the Launcher works again...getting invalid username/password message like everyone else again. :pinch:

im glad i got the digital version from origin. had my code registered like 5 minutes after they went on sale :) who really needs a box anyway.

As for the insane prices the CE is going for, I kinda expected that. I'm sure more...enterprising...people preordered the allowable limit with the intention of selling them when they got them. Plus a lot of players who were on the fence about the game tried it out during the stress test and definitely want to do so now...and won't settle for "just" the regular version.
...but $400-$500? Ay, Chihuahua! :blink:

hey all this is a shout out for help. now that i have played STO for over a year and played the old republic beta time def for an upgrade. ok iam not a PC expert yet i have contacted dell this is what they offered me ATI Radeon HD 3450 graphics dual DVI/VGA and tv out for $151.00 ok the price is not a big deal but what research i found on this seems to be low end here is a screen shot of my computer specs.
i have attached them as a word file figure this would be easier than trying to type all that techno babel. i have had class mates suggest certain cards but couldn't tell me if my machine would blow up i know now that i paid way to much for this crappy dell but its less than 2 years old wasn't ready to by a gaming machine yet thanks for all your help
Okay, Dell is so trying to screw you with the HD 3450 update, as that card is a few generations old (they going to announce the 7000 series today =)). Theres is this card on newegg(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161384) which is a HD 6870 for 139.99 and all you need is a minimum of 500 watts. I would rather go with a 600-700 watt power supply just in case, just make sure to go with a good company, such as cooler master, corsair etc. Also, go with a 80 plus certified power supply if you can afford it.

They changed the mission rewards a few builds ago. If they don't change it again, Diplomacy now just has stuff for Bio-chem items and Underworld trading for all armors.
Also something I didn't see in this thread, if you are in a solo cut screen and you don't like what you picked. Like a choice that caused a -250 companion affection or something before the it is over hit ESC and you can redue the options. You can also switch companions when out of the cut-screen to one that would like it. I only did that a few times when it was huge amounts of affection points.

I think what he meant was that the next captain should be an alien (not necessarily a gay alien), which I don't think it should only because what makes star trek generally appealing as a sic-fi narrative is that it chronicles the "human experience"... but I digress.
I do think that one of the main cast (like a Malcom Reed-type character) needs to be gay cause otherwise it would just be shameless 2-D pandering. Guess that rules out an near-term feature. Oh well, guess it just has to be us!! lol

I heard both, but which is going to do better for Synthing Light Armor, I don't need the medical crap Diplomacy gives me, and don't get enough cloth from Underworld it seems.

I really enjoyed my time in Wales. I competed in the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen back in my university days. Lovely country and really lovely people.
I actually think I'll be driving past Newport on my way to Tewkesbury after my time in Exeter. I'm on a concert tour starting in Cornwall and finishing in Yorkshire. Nothing like driving around England in December =P

Speaking of books, I def recommend Deceived for those who have not read it. Pretty good book and really enjoyed learning more about Darth Malgus.
I agree. Ive read all 3 of the old republic novels that have come out in the past couple of years, and enjoyed them quite a bit (yes, even fatal alliance) and i recommend them to anyone who is playing TOR, or even if your not.
