Shoot, I wish I'd seen this sooner. I randomly selected three skills because I thought they sounded good, Bioanalysis, Diplomacy and Synthweaving. But those don't really go together. I guess I need to switch them up.

Thanks!!

synthweaving purples

December 18 2011
hey all my main is getting up there with his synthweaving crafting. ive reverse engineered purples in each of the heavy medium and light categories.

most of the purple items are level 9-15 right now. if you are a jedi and would like purples hit me up in game (hilt or hylt) and i will see if i have the mats to hook you up.

Cencid your so right on with this. I was thinking of the first couple of months WoW was out and how horrid the game play was.

I can remember being in the bent loot position while fighting, or being dropped by the ships in the middle of no where and dying to the fishes. I could go on and on about the problems WoW had in the beinging.

So far this is pretty smooth compare to other launches. Besides the game being a lot of fun!!

That's what they do with STO and I'm sure all of this is simply their stated desire to have stable populations on each server they open at launch.

It's a fine line.

You can't have too many people on one server because it cripples the servers performance making it unplayable for a lot of players. You can't simply open more servers because this can cripple the game post launch, it's HORRIBLE to play on a server that is a complete ghost town and can totally destroy the MMO experience (I'm looking at you Warhammer Online). A lot of people still try and get into the "main" servers, despite the queues, because of this reason, rendering new servers pointless.

But Aldente is right, I won't be playing the game if there's still queues after the initial launch period has come and gone but it's to be expected with the sheer amount of people "trying out" the game and hammering it hard.

Try and keep your chin up, Ventrilo can be a lot of fun while stuck in a queue. Just saying.

Sad part is the way they have it set up with multiple instances per planet they can easily expand on each server they are just choosing not to. What should be happening is like when you go to change which one you are on in the planet those get full and you can't move to them not just get in.

Space combat

So last night I got my first taste of space combat and I have to admit that it is a nice distraction from the long walk that is the normal questing. On top of getting large chunks of exp and laughing at the sight of my puny pew-pew piercing through big ship shields, I quite enjoyed it. What's ur thoughts and ideas on how they can improve it

35 minute queue time

December 18 2011
Got disconnected while playing with my fiancé Andy.

Now I have a 35 minute queue time. Do I'm gonna sing to pass the time

*sings*
So I ran home and crawled in my bed,
I couldn't sleep because of all the things she said
Then I remembered her strange perfume,
And how I smelled it was in my own room!
So I sneaked back and caught her with my man,
Laughing and kissing till they saw the gun in my hand
The next thing I knew they were dead on the floor,
Dark Lady would never turn a card up anymore

Like I said before, on the first day of early access where all the servers appeared full, the server caps will be boosted, which repeated, each day of early access.

The queues, however, I'm not sure about that.

Jekk Jekk is second unofficial Oceanic PVE server. For a supposed minority player base, there sure is alot of us. I don't understand why american mmo's always ignore us until after launch. Grr.

Give it till after the holidays. Remember right now there is a lot of people who would normally not have time off for vacation/holiday breaks so they are trying to get in as much time as possible or as Aldente said "marathon sessions". I have a feeling it will drop severely after the new year. I am not to worried about the release date making it worse as most "hardcore gamers" got the pre-release to try and get ahead or "first" so more casuals will be getting it on launch.

I am disappointed at the responses from Bioware "Pick a new server" I sit here in a 30 min queue with almost all servers showing very heavy or full.

Re: Our new server

December 18 2011
Didn't even bother sticking around. There were 480 people ahead of me. Our server had the longest estimated wait time (35 minutes). Well back to WoW for me. This is very diappointing. It's only going to get worse when it actually launches, unless they plan on increasing the number of people the allow on the server at one time.
