In the near future we will be hosting more runs. In fact, as the resident datacron nut, I have found the mats for one hidden on Belsavis that I will use for one such event. Stay tuned .

Re: Sorcerrer vs. Sage (feeling powerful)

January 16 2012
I've got two level 30 characters...a Jedi Consular Shadow and a Sith Inquisitor Assassin, similar type situation. You're right, the feel is completely different. I feel like my Sith is more of a badass all the way around, but that's probably just the evilness all the way around. Something about shooting lightning from your fingers I find more powerful than flinging rocks, not to mention the death circle. The same with parading around the galaxy, mocking people, and in general being too good for all of them; whereas my Jedi is a little more Superman-ish -- similar voice, always humble, and is there to serve.

Then again, maybe that's just me actually being evil...MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

My main is a Jedi Sage and I enjoy playing with him. My Sorceress has been a little neglected as she is only lvl 11. Of my other alts though I am enjoying my Sith Marauder much more than my Jedi Sentinel. Fighting seems easier with the Marauder than it did with my Sentinel; I'm certainly not dieing as much. Whether that means the Marauder is more powerful or I'm doing the Sentinel wrong somehow, I don't know.

Re: Sorcerrer vs. Sage (feeling powerful)

I think it was deliberate, as a lore convention. The classes have to be equal, but the stories need to feel completely different. So the sage is just another Jedi, while the Sorcerer is a raging bad***, as far as story goes.

I feel that the bounty hunter/Trooper have the same thing going on. Both powerful classes but the feel of the characters is totally different.

The easiest way I know is to hit G. This should bring up the guild window. Then, right-click your character name and then click on "Guild". From there select "Set Member Note". In the box that should then display, we ask that you enter just your site name from here. In my case, I've entered "Kidd Kasper". This will help us know who each other is and so forth.

Another easy way to do it is to right-click your character portrait - this also brings up the "Guild" option KiddKasper mentioned, and you can select "Set Member Note". This gets rid of the need to try and find yourself on the guild list (which still gets buggy for me).

Thanks for the very detailed info about recent guild changes. The one question I have (and I apologize if this is posted incorrectly) is regarding the request to change our "member note" to include our forum name. I have no idea what you are referring to regarding the "member note". Where do I find this "note" so that I may comply with the request? I have added all my in-game characters to the character list but just can't seem to figure out what a "member note" is. Sorry.

I think I can speak for most when I say that asking questions is perfectly fine and appreciated.

Whenever we talk about "member notes" in SWTOR, it refers to ingame notes.

As always, please feel free to ask about anything that you're curious about. If we don't know the answer, we'll look until we can find one.

I guess I should post here.

I'm Jobert. Sej@Ereiid ingame.

I only just picked up STO, having quit all MMOs for a long time in order to finish my doctoral degree. Used to play CoH/CoV, SWG, and WoW for awhile.

I've run with some powergaming types in the past, though I'm more inclined to be casual around here. Especially having some experience with Cryptic's more relaxed approach to gaming in general.

Offline, I work. Like, a ton. I cook, snowboard, do yoga, and travel a bunch - mostly for work, but one will take what one can get.

Sorcerrer vs. Sage (feeling powerful)

January 16 2012
So I have played a Sorcerrer and a Sage and I find it interesting. The storyline on the Imp side makes me feel like my character is powerful. Where on the Republic side the moves and animations tend to make me feel powerful. Has anyone noticed anything similar with other classes?

I thought it was interesting and I'm curious why the choice to do that rather than make you feel powerful in both aspects or maybe it's just my perception. Looking forward to seeing what you all think!

Jon,

Thank you for this tip. I was wondering what I was missing on each world, espcially since I am missing a piece of the Coruscant map to finish it. It is driving me mad, and my fiance thinks I am crazy.

Well seeing I talk to you almost every night in game I can say... you are but that's one of the reasons why we love you lol.

Thanks for the tip, JustJon. I actually have been using that along the way, though a lot of times I forget about it. I STILL don't get some of the things on there, but usually those have to do with those Lore Markers...the glowing blue placards. Those are the hardest to get for me personally. I never know where they are. I'm so focused on datacrons that once my character is leveled all the way up, I'll go back and start filling in the blanks.

Np, I actually stumbled upon it so I was like hmmm maybe others don't know it's here!
