Posting this here, not for public ... for fleet

October 15 2012
As some of you know I got to be backstage again with Pat Benatar this past Friday and took 2 of my girls from last years NYC trip we did and then 2 more since in our home town of Tampa ... I had been a blonde for I dunno 15 years or more and only recently went back to my roots aka natural color so this is my first photo with Pat as 1 Non Blonde lol ... I aint gorgeous and getting older and fatter but .. it was funny after I looked at the picture and said OMG I look super fat I went .. OMG pat's hair is my color that was kinda cool and unplanned .. will take her body over mine though lol.

It was a fantastic day of festivities amongst ourselves .. my regret is that her new manager of the past 2 years was kind of a dick and when my friend accidently handed him her iphone he refused to use my camera (which takes much better pics) and I kept arguing with him .. and you can only be so harsh back stage mind you ... their's came out okay, but its super sharp on mine with all my imperfections, and they all have seen me shoot stevie, joan and pat before .. so we were kinda ticked ... and I was a bit harsh with him for this... mine is good but feel bad for them.

Stuff tends to go tits up at times on these things .. and they got their pics .. but bummed it wasnt with my camera .. oh well ... told the drunk gal with the camera stick to plan we had all said use CJ's not a freaking camera phone .. but she went belly up when she walked in and saw Pat .. ROFL ... been there done that I do understand.

Its really hard to meet your idol and not go submissive!

Again me and pat and her hubbie .. don't like the pic I think I look larger than I am .. but I aint tiny either I know that .. but do love that I realize I think my near natural color is hers!

Dont want to post this in public so doing it here for those in fleet that knew I was doing this .. this past friday. Was a great night.

Re: Doff Drive

The only way I know to do this efficiently is to make a ton of EC and buy them, either from your cash or the fleet bank account (I've seen some fleets that will dip into their funds to finish off a few remaining doffs, a trade off between cash on hand vs. faster project completion).

If you're lucky enough to have spare DOFF slots, you can always do the recruitment DOFF missions from the personnel officer as an easy way to collect a few common DOFFs.

For a while I tried the officer exchange, downgrading uncommon DOFFs into multiple common DOFFs, but I found that way too time intensive to be useful, as you have to sort through tons of crap DOFFs you don't want.

Anyone else have any different approach?

Oh, and remember that pre-staging idea? It applies to DOFFs as well, so we could theoretically help to speed that up by having people work on specific DOFF needs earlier. It probably wouldn't work for our fleets, but it does appear to work for one fleet I've seen at least. Actually, we could just use the MotD to announce upcoming DOFF needs, without bothering with the prestaging. Would solve the fleet credit jealousy concern and be less intensive to manage.

Here's the DOFF recruitment bible in case you haven't seen it: http://blackrabbit2999.blogspot.com/2012/01/star-trek-online-duty-officer.html

I'll be there - trying to keep Bucko39 out of trouble. We'll be there on Saturday including the party if anyone fancies a romulan ale or two.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I do not think this is a good idea. How would it feel if you found out that your mission that you worked hard on was featured as a worst mission?

What might turn it around is if only missions submitted by the author to be allowed, and maybe even make it into a contest of who can make the worst mission.

Re: Home server confirmed: Crystal Desert

Check it every now and then. It may say full now, but when I got on it, it also said full. I checked it a little later and it was just high, so I was able to get on. I think it fluctuates based on the time of day and how many people logged on.

It appears that several of our projects in different fleets are largely being held up by Duty Officers of different kinds. If we could organize our Doffs, it would help us complete projects quicker.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we could generate more of the Doffs that we need?

Yes playing it now, it's pretty darn good. Nice and detailed story is pretty much along the same tlines. It is a bit dumbed down and less complex than the original but I'm enjoying it a lot all the same.

Sounds neat!

Have any suggestions for bad missions?

Re: Anyone want to play SWTOR

October 13 2012
Sorry you had such a bad encounter. Unfortunately, I've heard of several similar complaints about Origin. One thing that is good is the price. It used to cost upwards of $60.00 to buy the game. They dropped the price about the same time they started talking about the game going F2P in November.

Anyone want to play SWTOR

October 12 2012
Hi. I accidentily got charged for 2 copies of the game when i ordered via origin. I ordered the digitel standard edition andthey somehow concealed 2 codes in one order, but charged me for 2. I contacted them and they say they have no record of that. Yet my credit card says otherwise. So im reaching out to anyone who wants to play. Ill sell it (the code) for $14.00. Im really pissed about this sneaky crap origin pulls. I will not ever order form them again. :( Please send me a msg if your interested.

Araa,

I've re-posted this thread in the Public Lounge section of the forums. It's accessible by guests to the site. The link is:

http://fleet.stonewallgaming.net/forums/public-lounge/50108-halloween-fleet-event-public-thread#50109

Something to consider is that the event takes between 12 - 25 minutes to run (our testing results), depending on the skill level of the group. It's not just a mission that you can pick up off the list... it needs to be hosted by an event host.

As it stands, on Halloween (the first event day), at certain times, I'll be the only one available to host this event. Go easy on the referrals, because I'm not sure how many groups I'll be able to handle on my own, or with our limited resources, bearing in mind that Stonewall Fleet members will be given priority over those who aren't members.

Hope this addresses everything! :)

Attention, Captain!

The High Command has new orders for you! You will proceed at once to the Eta Eridani sector block for assignment. Exact coordinates will be transmitted to you on a coded frequency when you arrive.

Our intelligence network has uncovered the position of a Vulcan science vessel adrift, in a system wrought with violent nebulae and plasma storms. They appear to be in some sort of distress. Our sources tell us that there is a substantial amount of Trellium-D in the vessel's cargo hold... a substance we know to destroy the higher brain functions of Vulcans, and possibly other species as well.

You will board the Vulcan ship and retrieve the Trellium for weapons research study by the high command! This is a child's task, unworthy of a warrior of your... influence. Unfortunately, for you, your reputation for ruthlessness has preceded you, and some influential people in the high command think that you are the right warrior to deal with this particular handful of pacifist Vulcan scientists!

We have heard that the Federation has dispatched a rescue team of their own... be sure to greet them... appropriately! Fail this mission, and I will personally carve out your heart and feed it to my Targ!

Q'pla!

What:
All members of the House of Nagh'Red are now also invited to this event. Be sure to form teams of two, with another fleet-mate of KDF allegiance.

Remember:
You may only participate in the event once. You may choose to participate with either your Federation or KDF toon, but you may not participate with both characters, as the event prizes are awarded out of the same prize pool, regardless of faction.

Actually, a patented Araa Super Brilliant Idea (AraasBI), how about you just put the information in the 'caption' section of the youtube video! That way they get the full video treatment AND explicit details from you on how to follow up... Lemme know if this works.

On the recruitment angle, we could even use it to formally extend an invitation to the House of Mattachine. Just sayin'.

P.S. I'd still list the prizes, even if the text is intended for non-fleeties. Helps to show what fleetie benefits look like. :-)
