Someone will always find something to cry about. I have to say though, I'm pleasantly surprised. I was very trepidacious when PWE took over. However, it really seems like they've been trying to add interesting content.

And now with a what is apparently a full Romulan/Reman faction. I'm definitely impressed and look forward to it. :)

I was trying to not get excited about the speculation that went on for months. But knowing that it's a full on faction, my other toons are going to be very neglected for a while.

I agree, this goes far beyond the things I deemed possible. I updated the first post with all the info on the new update. Apparently they're also giving away free goodies at the microsite (http://www.legacyofromulus.com).

Only downside: It doesn't really look like FED/KDF characters will get a new FE. But maybe they'll surprise us again. Really, really excited now.

And I still think it's kinda funny how a lot of German sites got all that information about 2-3 hours in advance. Who messed up there? LOL.

Just saw the site! All I've got to say is: holy shit. This goes WAY beyond what I was getting announced. A full expansion, with BOTH the Romulans and KDF having levels 1-50 available? I may have to quiz Brandon about this at PAX...

I took a bit of time to remaster some elements of "Shadows of the Past". The final third of the mission (the Terok Nor levels) are now more streamlined and allow for a better mission flow. The "Terok Nor Habitat Ring" map was completely overhauled and now looks much cooler and more functional - and now includes elements of the "Bajoran Temple" map, so I could remove one map transfer entirely.

I'm actually considering submitting the mission to Cryptic for Spotlighting. Curious to see if they'll notice it.

As always, I'd be delighted to get feedback on the mission. Especially if you're able to compare the current version with previous incarnations. :)

And now I need to go work on the sequel again!

General:
- streamlined story progression and dialogs
- changed button texts to make them more unified and better explain what they mean
- removed some typos


Gameplay:
- changed several NPC contacs to triggers
- added some new environment triggers ('Examine the Shrine', 'Scan Crates')
- made it harder for the S.S. Ratosha to be accidentally destroyed
- unified the spelling of "sir" (lowercase letters)

Storyline:
- clarified some story elements on the Terok Nor maps
- added some background information to Laira Mika
- made several dialogs more concise for smoother mission flow
- added some additional steps to the "Seeds of Dissent" segment and removed "Daybreak"
- added optional encounter with Cardassian prisoners and some flavor texts

Maps:
- redesigned some elements of "Terok Nor Docking Ring"

A new Romulan Faction is coming to Star Trek Online! The big update will come in May 2013 and also includes a revamped trait system and an entirely new UI.

This new large update will not be known as a "season", but is rather called an expansion, titled "Legacy of Romulus".
