While i couldnt condone acquiring a cd image of this game by nefarious deeds. I should point out fleet ops simply requires the disc in the drive or to be mounted on a drive.
So if you accidentally went to isohunt and accidentally downloaded the image of the armada 2 disc and mounted it using daemon tools and then ran the fleet ops installer it would work.

:P

If I knew what all that meant I suppose I could do that as well :) Since my technical skills around anything OTHER than physical Security software have dulled over the past several years I would need to read a "* book for dummies" to work all that out :)

The warp trails of the Sarajevo and T'Rokk had just faded from view. We were on course for DS9 and just entered the Regulus sector when the hail came in from a Captain Fitzroy.

"On Screen", I responded to hail.

"Captain, I am in the area and would like to take a look at the Phantoms new toys. Would you care to join me in a simulation?" He started, with a smirk.

"Ah Captain Fitzroy, how nice to see you." I replied. "I think we could hold position for a Brief visit. As for a simulation I'd prefer a more devastating display rather than just a simulation. If you'd like to accompany us we are heading to DS9 then I am sure we can scare up a cube or two to play with."

"Fine, Parker... We'll meet you at DS9 and you can show me your new toys then. Fitzroy out."

I was not really used to Capt. Fitzroy's ways, but I found myself liking him, just a little bit. We had worked together on missions prior but seldom spoke. Capt Brighton had a thing for him once but went about it the wrong way. You just don't kidnap another officer under any circumstances, even in the pretense of love or whatever. Fortunately I had aspirations of my own in that area. I have not crossed paths with him in several years. Jeremy has been off handling the Breen in the Orellius Sector and stationed on Deferi. After his assimilation he became known as 1 of 7, but in the last few years has readopted the use of his birth name, Jeremy Cross.

The memories fade as reality emerges. "Sir, we are being hailed by the Trinity." The comm officer stated.

"The Trinity? That ship was missing years ago!" I exclaimed. "On Screen".

The image that appeared on the screen was ghastly. It seems the lost ship has resurfaced as somewhat of a ghost ship. The captain was old and pieces of the flesh on his face had decayed away leaving only bare bone and tufts of hair. I signaled to the comm officer to cut the transmission and put the ship on screen. There it was, the long missing Heavy Cruiser. I signaled the comm officer to hail the ship.

...Silence...

That would be fairer in terms of the prize the "model paired with the winning designer" receives.

Re: Project Runway Season 12!!!!!!!!!

October 14 2013
I went back and checked through the season's runway shots. Some of them used the same model almost every week, and other designers changed models often. I'm guessing they just kept using the approach they used in episode two, where the designers picked their model in the order their name was selected from the button bag. They stopped showing the selection process after the second episode, but it seems a reasonable assumption that it continued. I can't imagine how else some designers kept the same model all the time unless they had the opportunity to choose.

I'm not sure about the modeling pool though, because you're right in that the losing designers' models were obviously never eliminated. Maybe they went back into the pool as possible candidates for the designer to choose from each week?

Re: Sci Officer Rebuild

October 14 2013
My main Ozzy is a Sci officer on a recluse. I've never seen myself in a role in STFs, well because nobody seems to play as a team on pugs which is what I'm used to. I've built my recluse to be able to withstand some damage so tank if need be, heal a bit if called to and also contribute some dps as well. Skills wise, I definitely did the "ooo that looks interesting I'll have some of that" or "I wander what that does lets increase that".

I can crowd control pretty effectively with gravity wells, repulsors and tractor beam. I'd say that concentrating on these skills is a must for sci. I love it when you get big crowd of ships in gravity well, light 1 or 2 up and then watch the rest blow in a chain. I have no idea what my dps is but I regularly come 2nd or 3rd in CCE and starbase 24. I've also come top or near top on ISE as well a couple of times, so DPS is definitely doable on a sci ship.
My build is also heavily influenced by getting my ass whooped by Rorz in his little definate so many times!

Yes, models had to be randomly assigned, because if you look back, there were models who had been assigned to designers who went out but who modeled in later episodes. I've noticed online some people hadn't caught on to that, which I thought was weird.

The whole season was anonymous judging. They had no idea who did what outfits all season long. Until they brought the models out. And I do not think anyone has ever won without winning a challenge.
I'd have to imagine that after a couple of weeks, the judges would have a good idea of who did what outfit even before the models stood by their designer (with the exception of the guest judges, who were only seeing the designers for the first time each week). The designers tend not to vary from their signature styles all that much. Although now that I think about it, did the designers have a different random model each week? It would have had to been that way for true anonymity. I didn't think to pay attention to that, so I don't know if that's the case. Not to mention, of course, the week that Heidi joined Tim on his check in with the designers. I think the anonymous thing just ending up being a season gimmick that really didn't mean anything (sort of like the GoBank budget). But maybe I just over-think these things, haha. :)
