If you want a modern Romulan warship I would strongly suggest the Ar'kif retrofit. According to the storyline it's the most recent Republican construction (other then the Deinos). Plus I remember reading a sci build for it somewhere...or that could have been a Romulan Ale inspired fantasy ;)
((Disclamer, not sure where to post this but I want to be attached to the USS Sally Ride as a cultural exchange officer. Also, I'm still working on my Bajoran but don't know where to put his information))
Name: Koval ir-Ra’tleihfi tr’Khael Rank: Centurion Specialization: Energy Weapons Officer
Ira’dianvum Koval ir-Ra’tleihfi tr’Khael was born on Romulus in the surrounding areas of the old capital Ra’tleihf in 2384, oldest brother of the House Khael, Minor House of the Gilgamma. However, he has never seen nor remembers his home world. In 2386, his family left, when his father and mother saw fellow houses being rounded up by the Tal’Shiar, they deemed it necessary to leave Romulus. Using the initiatives started by the Romulan Mining Guild, Koval’s father took a government post on Rator III. A year later Romulus was destroyed, dismayed and horrified by the tragic loss of their home world; House Khael began to realize the reality and tried to rise with honor among the house ranks supporting Rator III as being the new capital world. Later Khael’s father would move into Nova Roma to further propagate his house’s influence in the new Romulan government, always cleverly appearing neutral to any new power. Only until the coronation, observed by all of House Khael, of Empress Sela did Koval’s father decide it was time to move on. Both of his parents remembered what had happened last time Sela gained power and they were not go to wait for the destruction to begin. House Khael drifted from colony world to colony world wandering aimlessly for a place to settle. Rumors of citizens disappearing, resources being rationed, off world attacks and very little stability in the region made it near impossible to find somewhere until, in the near freezing temperatures aboard a cargo ship a message appeared on the view screen from a Romulan Republic representative. By this time Koval had matured to 25 years of age and tired of feeling worthless; looking over at his father watching the view screen, Koval could only hear the words, “a new home”. Koval and his father S’Haid got into a passionate argument over joining with the Romulan Republic. His father abruptly tried to end it by saying this is all being started by the Vulcan unificationists and there is only trouble with them. Koval said it shouldn’t matter if D’Tan believes in the Vulcans, we need a real Romulan government and only a military power will succeed in creating it. Futher arguing, "It was their duty and honor to create a stable government!" Though it was a decision met with hostility, House Khael did decide to join and become a part of Mol’Rihan, reluctantly S’Haid took a government post because of his background. It was with a smirk that S’Haid asked Koval to join the military to help build House Khael’s reputation and influence on New Romulus. To his surprise, Koval glady joined and became a good tactical officer specializing in energy weapons. When tasked by the Romulan Republic to work alongside the Federation or the Klingons, Koval decided it best to watch the Federation by working with them. Also, it was better food and less smelly.
Looks like you're right, Izzy. Those look pretty neat, but I hoard my DS9 commodities and never use them for doff mission. I may need to make an exception though!
Glory and honor to Sej! Winner of this month's house champion PvP event and recipient of the Voth Bastion Flight Deck Cruiser, generously donated by Orloran@Wintercrow!

A N S W E R S Question #1: Unwanted data samples or particle traces can be donated to the feet resources department, for use in fleet crafting efforts.
Question #2: You can donate your unwanted data samples or particle traces by placing them in the appropriate spot in any of Stonewall's fleet banks, or alternatively, you can send them via in-game mail to any of the four members of the Fleet Resources department.
Question #3: Data samples and particle traces can be placed in the first three columns of the consumables tab of the fleet bank, which are spaces reserved for miscellaneous donations.
Question #4: Please do not donate items, if the space allotted for them in the bank is already full. Consider retaining them until there is room, or sending them directly to a resources department member via in-game mail.

This Factoid is brought to you by the Fleet Resources Department, as part of the on-going, month long, fleet bank donation drive!
Did you know...?
When you have extra data samples or particle traces that you're considering discarding, you can alternatively donate them to your local fleet bank! Data samples and particle traces can be donated to the first three columns of the consumables tab of the fleet bank, which are spaces that are reserved for miscellaneous donations. Alternatively, you can send your data sample or particle traces via in-game mail, to any of the fleet resources department members listed here, by accessing a mail console at any major social hub.
What're done with donated data samples and particle traces?
When the members of the resources department organize the fleet banks, they will remove the donated data samples and particle traces. They're then transferred to Stonewall's Crafting Corps fleet bank, where they're stored and utilized for crafting efforts. When the fleet banks are low on items, these samples are used to craft items which are deposited back into the fleet bank, in order to supplement the donation efforts of the membership at large.
