Honestly though, if they could just update the god-awful cornball dance moves in this game, we'd all be better off.

Hello there and welcome back to the Stonewall Family!

For your reading pleasure you may want to review the following links relating to the Stonewall Gaming Network and STO: Welcome Center has a lot of great info to get you started including the Code of Conduct, TeamSpeak setup and Fleet Guides.

Also, be sure to join our ingame fleet channel by typing /channel_join StonewallFleet. If you haven't already been invited in-game, let us know in that channel that you're needing an invite and a member of the leadership team can assist.

Again, welcome back to the fleet!

Stonewall dance parties aside, of course... ;) As a casual RP'er, this is a good thing. The disco balls really are THE trolling device for social zones.

Honestly though, if they could just update the god-awful cornball dance moves in this game, we'd all be better off.

what is this emergency power to party - have I missed something?? and sad face, they stop you dancing even if they are in the bank, i thought it was just if they were in the inventory, so the only way to dance again is to delete it and then go buy a new one.

I've tried inviting, but I'm getting an error.

The next time that you're online, asking in the StonewallFleet channel for an invite. Someone should be online to help you. If not, reply here and I can try again.

I'll still be dancing with ya!

I think this is a good solution to the problem by the Devs. I think the disco ball is a great social device, but I also understand for RP reasons why some people may not want to have their Vulcan bust a move (hilarious as it may be).

I doubt I'll be rushing to buy one, but it's a simple fix to an issue that was causing some players a high level of frustration.

All I know is it bugged the time out of me when a non-fleet member crashed a fleet trivia event some time back and kept spamming disco balls (which, by the way, I don't remember from any Star Trek incarnation) at a time when we absolutely did not need it. Only way I dealt with it was to turn off sound and enlarge my chat box to cover the whole screen.

Needless to say, I'm not a fan of the disco balls in general. I also think it's silly to see Vulcans dancing about having a fantabulous time. That said, let people have their fun. I think the nullifier is a good compromise.

Hey Fleet

I havent played the game for months now, actually since they completly redesigned earth spacedock (that was a shock).

I found that i was no longer in the fleet i was wondering if someone was able to help with that.

The disco ball issue has raged on on the STO forum for months and months, players whinging on about being in social zones like DS9 and they just want a quiet game of Dabo then BAM the are "forced" to dance.

No one is forced to do anything, you just move out of the catchment area and carry on doing what your doing, but sadly the DEVS have pandered to the whinging and whining and brought out the nullifier.

Next rage on topic on STO Forum ... "I bought Subspace nullifier thingy and it doesn't work - Cryptc you made me pay for something that is broken ... fix now"

The whole idea is just silly, its not like dancing stops you from using banks, vendors and such. :pinch:
