Anyone Beta Testing?

Weekend testers will have their own servers that are only up for those times. Leviathan will be up, but it is my understanding that weekend testers will not have access to it.

Leviathan and Cosmic Turbine are the PVE servers that are the beta servers up all the time(except when they crash)

The account I created to help out the EU side with guild creations (never worked as name was banned for some odd reason) just got an invite.

Downloading the client now. LOL

I downloaded the client yesterday and will be logging on for the weekend beta testing tonight around 8PM central time. Look for Rennex.

Will everyone be on the Leviathan server or are we on some special server just for the weekend?

Also just ordered my new Velocity Micro Edge Z40 which arrive in just over a week. It's so ON! B)

I'm gonna be playing on one of the Test Servers this weekend, I'm going to pick a proper Republican Jedi sounding one and I'll be under the Keioel handle.

I'm a weekend tester so per Doogiegood's post we won't have access to Leviathan. I'll be on a PvE server for sure thou.

My partner and I just both got invites...but it seems this weekend is a test of the servers and the load they can handle, and it looks like the website itself is already buckling under the stress. Oh well...maybe I'll get a peek at something this weekend. :)

They probably took it down to do last minute maintenance. I would rather the servers go down today than in December. :)

Okay...so I read the email wrong...I got a notice that I WILL be invited in an upcoming weekend (like everyone else who signed up for beta testing) Ah, Star Wars...you're such a tease.

LOL, I get everything down loaded, ready to login and....the server and website go down due to high traffic. LOL

I agree, better now then in December. Okays back to Rift.

I also got the email for an upcoming beta weekend. Which with my luck will be next weekend which happens to be my birthday(would be a great birthday present) and the same weekend I leave to go to Denver for a week of vacation. At least I got my pre order code entered pretty quickly for early access.

I just got an email tonight telling me I was selected for an upcoming beta test weekend. Woohoo! Hopefully it will be the same weekend as some of the rest of the fleet. :-P

When the game goes live, I'm sure all of the servers with cool sounding names will be slammed while all of the oddly named or obscurely named servers will have light pops. Seeing the queues for just the testing groups, I may just avoid the servers like Leviathan and Cosmic Turbine once the game goes live in favour of ones named "Monkey bollocks" or something. xD

Are the que(sp) always that sucky, if so they better ramp them up for when it goes live.

They have never been like this. I have been waiting 40 minutes to get in...they wanted a stress test, it's working.

Yeah friday nite was a nightmare but yesterday was like a breeze. they even added another server last nite, thought that was awesome. Can't wait for the next beta!

The queues will probably be really bad after launch, this is a highly anticipated game. The only thing I can suggest to alleviate it is to choose a server with a silly/stupid/weird name. All of the servers with cool names like "Leviathan" and "Cosmic Turbine" will be the obvious choices for the LCDs and have a much higher population than servers named "Ape Hanger" (or something, possibly not motorcycle related).

So for a shorter queue, go for the servers with stupid names. :p
