March 9th Roleplay event sign up

Event : They Mostly Come out at night..Mostly

A week ago the USS Nostradamus lost contact with Earth Space Dock. Her mission was to explore and catalog the life forms of a new class M planet..

The last communication received from her was....

**sounds of phaser fire** Starfleet Command..We have encountered a stran..Oh god no no..*screams of pain followed by a wet plop sound*

Your mission is to determine what has happened to the USS Nostradamus...

GM information

USS Nostradamus is found in orbit of the mystery planet.. The crew is dead and the ship has been inhabited by a strange life form that seems to have started it's life as a Spore from an indigenous plant. The introduction of lifeforms has allowed the spore to attach to DNA and create a new life form that erupts from the person..

Start Location ESD Medical ward.. Admiral Iroesay will give out the assignment with the sketchy details..

Start time: 9:30 pm EST, this is when I am on and able to play the part of Iroesay..

Holy crap, I CAN MAKE THIS ONE! I'd be happy to take CO, XO, or Medical. Regardless, the character I'll be using has the handle Tabashi.

You pick which spot you want and you got it.

I'd like to give it a try. Hopefully as the Science officer, or medical if someone really has their heart set on science.

I would like XO. If this is possible.

I've never tried this before... but I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

I'll use my VA Engineer toon. So, I should be good for either OPS or the Engineering spot.

BTW, how long does a Roleplay event like this usually go for? How many hours? I just want to make sure I don't end up going to bed at 4AM EST during a work week! LOL

I hate to do this, but I'm going to have to back out. I thought I'd be able to leave work a little early today, and while that's still the case, I have to do some studying for a job interview I have later this week. I'm really sorry, but job hunting takes priority over play time.

The event will last for one hour... It allows us not to run into issues of people staying up till 4am :)

In most cases the ops (operations) officer is third in line for command, since he/she has a working knowledge of the other ship departments along with their own. The Ops Officer may technically be above the Chief Engineer but the CEO trumps the Ops (unless the Ops rose up from the ranks of engineering) in matters of engineering. Although it's a thankless job since they coordinate activities without praise (that's what the Executive Officer and Captain receive).

Looking forward to the event this evening.. I shall be playing the part of Admiral Iroesay.. *giggles like a maniac*

ok my game is so off tonight. I came on for the RP tonight, and just realized I missed it 2 hours ago....

strawberry margarita, why do you distract me so

Role Playing session feedback: I feel that it was a pretty good session overall. Some prepped email data packets (you can type them up, send them to yourself then forward later) to answer big questions. For example: If you had a big description for something.
A rundown of the crew positions at the beginning of the scenario would be helpful. All the players in the starting area then saying what they are.
I'll probably remember more, but my brain is running on caffeine right now...

Thank you greatly for the feedback. The most important aspect of RP is the people involved and as such we are always looking for ways to make your experience better.. If you think of anything else please let doogiegood or myself know :)

I would like to apologize for my delay in responses on occasion during the RP session. Every time that happened I was checking my facts using a variety of sources. I'll try to have a "cheat sheet" of terms and such prior to the next session and break out my ST Encyclopedia...
