Knights of Stonewall Moto?

What should the moto be for Knights of Stonewall? Should we stick with Strength in Diversity or go with something different for the new guild?

Vindi, Vidi, Versace?

Yeah, I agree that diversity is important. Keeping the original motto would help cement links between the fleet and the knights, but I'm not averse to a new one.

"Strength in Diversity" is very fitting for both games and as the Star Trek fleet and the Star Wars guild are one in the same, we should have the same motto.

how about Strength in Diversity in a Gaylaxy far far away...

I liked Strength in Diversity, but maybe for star wars something like "The Force of Diversity" so its like the same but Has star wars as the theme

I'm pretty new but I do like the current moto - Strength in Diversity.
Seems like a good fit for this game.

You do have a point, but I think a different motto will give the fleet its own identaty think of TKS and SF as brachs of the same military but they have diffrent cultures, difent identitys and diffrent mottos

Ah good point about the different identity.

Now to put on my thinking cap and see what I can muster up.

Working off what other folks mentioned I had a couple of thoughts and tossed them together and thought they possible fit with the SW:TOR galaxy and follow the same line of thinking as the previous motto.

I dropped the diversity part as Knights of Stonewall is a LGBT guild so I hope we are diversified. :)

If anything maybe these will help others with putting together additional ideas for a motto.


1) Indomitable Strength or Indomitable Courage

I think they both describe anyone in the LGBT community.

Indomitable means incapable of being subdued, we will not let the enemy over power us, we are going to stand up for what we believe and not succumb to the beliefs and will of others.


2) Strength, Courage, Confidence

As we face the many challenges in game we have the Strength of our LGBT family and it's diversity, we have the Courage to stand up for each other and defend ourselves, Confidence in knowing that what we stand for is right and by doing this together we will persevere.

I think we should stay with the same moto , Mabey change the fonts or somthing like that .

Our STO motto is excellent and resonates very well with the Trek universe but it also has a better context in the Trek universe than in the Star Wars universe.

The Trek universe is all about the quest for knowlege and charting the unknown possibilites of existence (to quote Q) and our motto does compliment that ideal. The Star Wars universe is steeped more deeply in that classic (if not cliche'd) battle between good and evil. I think our motto should reflect our stance in that conflict. The term Stonewall has taken on the meaning of standing firm against all adversity for what is right and just.

So with that in mind, I think our motto should be something like: Standing For What Is Just or To Stand Strong For Justice etc, or even Justice and Equality For All.

Sounds good to me. Don't see why we should use a different moto for SWTOR.

I like this one too. Sounds more Star Wars.

For Knights: From Diversity comes Strength and Balance.
For Lords: From Diversity comes Strength and Power.

A combined: Diversity brings Balance and Power.

I think a separate motto for Knights and Lords of Stonewall is a great idea. As has already been said, Star Wars and Star Trek have very different ideas and cultures. Strength in Diversity resonates well with Star Trek, but not so much with Star Wars. I'd think that the Jedi surprising the Sith and the Sith suppressing the Jedi for thousands of years at a time would hardly be considered a diversity friendly environment.

I'm more curious about how we can tie the Motto into our 'blurb' and why would a group of Jedi and Sith decide to unite?
