Cadet, I want to thank you for submitting this information to engineering and following up so quickly on what could have been a serious issue. Since then, I have been contacted and given an explanation.

As Lt. Rand and Lt. Clavik now know, that simulation was taken directly from a holo-recording of an actual covert mission. I took a few liberties in removing classified details, but engineering has confirmed that the 'glitches' you both encountered were due to a combination of corrupted data files, as well as the computer blocking the classified components. The lack of sensory stimuli was the computer's way of "pulling you out" of the simulation.

I apologize that this happened and I am working on re-writing the simulation. I have passed along these details to Commander Rix, who will be taking over command from here.

Q's Second Set of Challenges

Task One:
"Mirror Mirror on the wall who is the fairest of them all? Well it’s certainly not you, all you bipedal species look the same. Utterly uninteresting”.

Your task is to find another fleetie, of a different species, and take a selfie with them*
Prove to Q that you don’t all look the same, why not add in a pet for extra effect?

--Q tires quickly, don’t both enter the same selfie.




Task Two:
Bipeds pushing buttons. Bipeds replacing relays. Bipeds running diagnostics. When're you gonna do something interesting?

Go and Provoke a lesser species I'll leave the how and the why up to you, but Nimbus or Kartella or or or, I'm sure you can find a lesser species all by yourself. And yes, Nelix counts.




Task Three
Fly here, fly there, rock and roll, do the undiscovered.
*Run a SPACE PvE that you haven't run in a long time and submit the evidence to q’s court*

He notices you, lurking behind him, and slowly turns around...

"Ugh, it’s you" *Sigh* and what measly, pitiful offerings have you collected for me?"

It's clear you've caught Q on a bad day. See if you can impress him by collecting as many different types, or just a handful of a few awesome varieties, of food and drink in your inventory or bank.

Task Two:
"Oh what a tangled web we weave, when lies and deceit we conceive".
Do I have to spell it out for you? You miserable excuse for a Biped ?

Tholians. Do Something to a Tholian. Anything. Blow it up. Dance with it. Shoot it. Kiss it. Marry it. I don't care. Just Do Something With the Tholians.

This was Reflection Day. Set in the Mirror Universe. And in the Mirror Universe, we don't play by the rules or abide by schedules.

After the festivities officially ended, I ran some unofficial Reflection Day events, or "pirate raids", as I called them--two Fleet Alerts, a run of Eurrsk's excellent Foundry mission, "Dead in Space", and a a chance for us pirates to get drunk together at Terok Nor (which you might know as Deep Space Nine).



I ran these "raids" for three hours, from noon to 3 p.m. Alaska time. Joining me were @Eurrsk, @eazzie79, @Akrilon, @reverendmike, @mstfrancis, @Skemta, and @williamjaneway. I had promised these fine pirates that I would randomly select one to receive a prize that Ylis had looted from a ship called the ISS Z-Store. Congratulate @Eurrsk, to whom I just sent a Krenim Temporal Specialist Doff, as well as the Temporal Research Assignment, "Kerr Loops"!

I'm glad we were able to extend the celebration, and was most grateful to have some good folks join in. I just may be inspired to run more spur-of-the-moment, unofficial events in the future.

That... is the most.. beautiful thing.. I.. have ever.. read. I will remember this. Thank you, Dave! (Please don't ignore this post!)
