I was watching this and thought how sad, yet how exciting that we at least could explore our own neighborhood.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I know that there's been a lot of discussion in the fandom about the guidelines for Star Trek fan films that CBS and Paramount have recently released. It's been a polarizing issue in the community, with people taking up sides for and against Axanar, which ultimately appears to have been the catalyst for the lawsuit and the guidelines that followed.

With that said, there are still quality fan films being made and this one in particular, albeit short and simple, is an enjoyable watch and is in keeping with what I feel the true spirit of what fan productions were meant to be. Of interest, is that it appears to abide by a majority (not all) of the guidelines set out, and in my view, is a proof of concept, demonstrating that the guidelines don't necessarily spell doom and the end of quality productions from the fandom.

Give it a watch! Some not terrible eye candy that appears to bat for our team too:

Wow! That clip was amazing!

KDF TAC ship recommendations

July 03 2016
Now that I have a tiny bit of discretionary income, I've been picking up dedicated factional boats for my alts. I spent my Pride Weekend prize on a D'Kora Marauder for my Ferengi captain since the exchange price suddenly dropped to less than 1/3 of what it was a couple weeks ago(!), and I picked up a Malem Light Warbird from the C-Store for my Romulans. As usual, my poor neglected Klingon TAC toon is last on the upgrade list.

He currently flies a T5-U Mogh Battle Cruiser and it's not a bad boat at all, but I eventually want him to have a KDF T6. I'll have the Risa event's Vorgon escort before long and I'm sure that will do for a while, but I'm kind of a canon stickler and would definitely prefer a Klingon Raptor or Battle Cruiser over something cross-faction. I'm looking at the Qa'Tel Flight Deck Raptor as an option, but I'd appreciate some ship-choice advice from more experienced KDF captains.

He spends most of his time in the Badlands so I value both durability and maneuverability over pretty much all other considerations (see 125th Rule of Acquisition). I'm not really a fan of glass-cannon BoP's despite the awesomeness of battle cloaks. Does anyone have any pro/con input on the Qa'Tel, and/or other KDF options for a TAC captain? Raptors, battle cruisers, carriers, destroyers, dreadnoughts etc.?

Qapla'!

Hello everyone,

My name is Ewen, I am a very casual and clueless STO player. Total Altwhore in every game I play, which has been CoH, Daoc, WoW, SWTOR, and GW2, Marvel Heros 2016 right now.

I don’t like talking about myself so that’s enough right there. :)

Transwarp problem?

But sector blocks aren't really removed from gameplay. You can't really see what they are anymore or where their borders are, but they are there and they are relevant for doff missions for example.

Exactly my point. You can't see what or where they are, but they are still relevant if you want to try and find those doff missions. But good luck actually finding them because they've apparently been either half-removed or simply deprecated (even though they're still in use).
