I have watched Star Trek since a little kid, starting from ToS (although for some reason, I couldn't watch the credits because one of the aliens really scared me) and I remember the first episode of ST:TNG ... I was sitting in my basement and I almost cried in joy. I NEVER missed an episode for the 7 years it aired. I didn't like DS9 but a few years later watched it back to back and loved it. Voyager was cool, it had it's moments. Star Trek Enterprise was a figment of my imagination, kind of a bad dream. I'm happy IT NEVER EXISTED!!!!!

I play on Brandywine too, I used to be big into doing raids, but haven't had the time as of late to get my main up to 65 and sadly I think I'm short 20 radiance to qualify for most raids now. =( But it is an awesome game I loved the Rift.

I do currently play LotR:O (Lifer there too), unfortunately I'm stuck on Brandywine after following my old SWG guild there. Also unfortunate is the fact that most of them had already been hypnotized by the mediocrity of WoW so they all eventually wandered back there. I obviously agree that it's a great game (wouldn't be a lifer otherwise). I still log in to do the occasional skirmish, but with my free time being drawn between it and ST:O lately, ST:O wins out unless the server is down or I'm otherwise obstructed from logging in.

@Nick & Aiden: Well, there are no advanced camera options that I know of. Well, actually, I take that back now that I think about it. I (really quickly) checked the Camera Options menu last night. It seemed limited to just selecting X- and Y-inverstion, but now that I think about it... there may have been an offset slider option. I'll check again when I log in tonight. Even if it doesn't, I agree with Aiden's assesment about cropping. It will still limit the kind of shots we can get, but it will help.
With regard to the Azura mission, I agree that its a good test case. It's an involved story mission that happens right at the beginning, so any new characters we create just need to be taken through the tutorial.

This is an interesting idea. I heart comic books and spend an embarrassing amount of time and money on them. I'd be happy to help when and where I can.
Also, the camera may be working against you, but since you'll hardly ever (if ever) need a full screen shot of something you should be okay cropping it. Also, if you absolutely need it, you can trick the camera into giving you a first person view by backing up to a wall or other static object.

Are there no advanced camera options in the game? It'd be nice if there were if not. I can imagine you'll all need a camera man. Some tasteful cropping of the images may help.

I've never tried making any story into a comic book, so my experience and comfort levels are beyond non-existent. I am interested, but it may take a few issues to get a feel for things.....much like a trek series usually takes...
of course I'd want to star as an actor and contribute as a writer as well. :-D
