(My apologies for the late log entry from last week)

Shortly after the USS Stonewall's patrol, we came across a vessel that was being attacked by an unidentified ship within a space distortion field. As we engaged the enemy vessel, our systems began to fail and we were forced to retreat.

Unaware of an intruder aboard, we began necessary repairs of damaged systems and treatment of injured crew. A short while later, it was discovered that there was a Romulan intruder attempting to access a computer terminal after gaining access to the Captain's quarters. We were unable to determine what the Romulan was attempting to do, but he inadvertantly caused a radiation leak in the north section of the crew deck. Security cornered the intruder in Ten Forward and when I went to speak to the Romulan, I fell ill and collapsed due to the radiation leak. Unknown to me, a team was searching for me and Brandon found me...only to find himself fall ill from the radiation. Luckily, the leak was repaired and a medical team was able to revive us.

We immediatly took to Ten Forward, cornering the Romulan. Security escorted him to my Ready Room for interrogation but when I arrived, the Romulan revealed himself to be an Undine where he attacked the entire security detail and most of the bridge officers. I ordered a security code lockout of the bridge and isolated command in main engineering. While I was able to make it to engineering with a couple other officers, most bridge crew were still trying to contain the Undine on the bridge, unaware that control of the ship had been transferred below deck.

The CMO found a gas that affected the Undine and similar entities but not the humanoids that served aboard the Stonewall. The bridge was flooded with this gas and the Undine was beamed to the brig where he was contained with a forcefield.

Sickbay treated all injuries and the ship was underway again. While the ship that we fled from seemed to disappear, we imagine it was a new kind of Undine vessel. Undoubtedly, we'll encounter them again at some point in our travels.

My $0.02: If you have the capability to buy/rent/watch the TOS Blu-Rays, do it. We recently got season 1 (and now 2 & 3), and were blown away by the quality, and the redone special effects. TOS has never looked this good before. I'm not a real audio/videophile, but damn, it looks and sounds amazing!

From the messages on here and conversations I've had in game with those interested in the RP event...Sundays do seem to be the best day for most.

That being said, our RP event going forward will continue to be on Sundays at 2PM EST (Eastern Standard Time) as that is a time that can accommodate both our North American and our Eurpoean members.

If you are someone who can't make Sundays, ever, please send me a PM. We may be able to look into setting up an additional weekly RP event for those who can make weekdays but not Sundays.

tuesdays and wednesdays...but my schedule is very odd, so there is a slight chance i can make other days.

Unfortunately not, many countries still have death penalties for homosexuals. For those that only give prison sentences, those prison sentences are death penalties of them selves, either from the inhospitable living conditions or the gang violence that usually targets homosexual prisoners. In countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, that are currently occupied largely by US forces, homosexuals are being killed at an alarming rate by their families and factions of the militia. An organization called, Iragi LGBT, http://iraqilgbt.org.uk, operates out of the UK and runs a railroad for targeted people, helping them leave the country and receive asylum in other countries. In the last three years, 700 glbt people have been murder in Iraq alone. Several times, their railroads have been compromised and the English and Americans that operate them have been killed as well.

The GLBT community must remember that the fight for equality does not end at our countries borders. We must help those who can not help themselves.

As you can see, this is something I'm very passionate about.
