If the next year is anything like this years, the convention is TONS of fun. I have to say, dressing up in cotumes also adds to the experence. It was fun, but I think after I dressed up it became a lot more fun.

Not to mention getting to meet all the great people in the fleet!

I am planning on next years also. My plan is to dress for all 4 days with something different each day!

I have the same general feeling as a lot of you. While the episode had some great one liners (watch your f***ing language!) it really didn't do anything to resolve the season. It felt like just another episode to me... which really left me disappointed. I was expecting an end to the season's big bad like is common with the other True Blood seasons. Oh well. Still like the show and I'll still be back in a few months.

Hmmm, this sounds interesting. Would love to go, but I'm going to a Disney on Ice reunion with the hubby like 2 weeks earlier and I'm being badgered to go to Southern Decadence. DECISIONS! bleh.

I have created a group for people to join to discuss the Vegas trip and exchange information on rates for various things (hotel, gas, flights, etc.)

My bf and I will be going and possibly looking for someone to share room costs.

We'll also be driving from Portland Or and can seat 3 other people in the van for carpooling.

Planning Ahead - Star Trek Convention Aug 2011

September 15 2010
I figure if we plan in advance, more folks will be able to make it happen. So I'm gonna put out the idea right now for us to have a gathering at the Trek Convention in Las Vegas August 11 - 14

Here are the two Dev posts I think are most relevant:

http://forums.startrekonline.com/showpost.php?p=2831374&postcount=16

http://forums.startrekonline.com/showpost.php?p=2374101&postcount=59

On the basis of these two, I'm installing the LCARS, MSD and Sector Space mods now!

But anyone interested needs to make their own, carefully considered opinion. I wouldn't dream of recommending this to anyone, just in case...

Love the LCARS. I would try it but until I see a post from DStahl telling us it's ok to use mods like this I will be keeping away from them.

I installed the cursor, the colored LCARS, and the sector space mod. I love them all.

I'm REALLY tempted by the LCARS and MSD texture mods. Was very impressed to see them.

I'm also kinda gutted about the /command to increase the size of the hot-bar tray. Why on earth they won't just allow that I don't know. It;s not the end of the world, but it is a bloomin' nuisance.

They have another mod that changes the big barn doors into normal sized doors. :)

At least he is changing and, given that he cannot run for re-election due to term limits and is not running for any other office, the change seems at least somewhat genuine.

Season finales so rarely resolve things these days, they're all about the cliff hangers. Kinda annoying, but pretty much the norm. None the less, I love True Blood almost as much as I love ASkars!
