I had the sensation of feeling outside my body during a massage once. I don't think I'd go so far as saying that I actually was out of my body, but I have trouble knowing quite how to explain the whole experience. I have a scientific mind, but I also believe the universe is bigger than our comprehension, because we are finite beings.

STO Helpful Hints

November 03 2010
What are some of the cool tricks you've discovered in-game that your fellow fleeties might find helpful?

I was thinking of this as I tried to coach my bf through some missions last night. (Yes, I'm thankful that he even occasionally comes online with me.)

Mine are:

Use the V key to scan (either in space or on the ground)

Use the Y key to have your BOFFs attack your target (ground)

Use your power pre-sets to crank up the damage! (space)

When playing the waveform-matching scan game, adjust the amplitude first, then just hammer the side arrows to match the frequency. You can't overshoot.

And this one I just discovered, although I'm sure everyone else already knew about it:

Drag an item into the Exchange search box to avoid typing in the description.

So what are your favorite helpful hints?

Agree. But "unexplained" is not the same as "inexplicable." It just means we're moving to the edge of science's comfort zone. :)

I love forbidden planet, creatures from the id and all that.

I liked Event Horizon back in the day, though watching it now that I'm older it's cheezy as hell.

My favorite non-traditional sci-fi would be Eternal Sunshine though.

Put me in the skeptic column. Though i do love the neat paranormal viral videos... it's always fun to see how many people are defending obvious fakes.

Every once in a while though, there's one I can't explain.
