I would definitely be interested. I generally run STO on full specs with my new card and it looks awesome. It would be cool to try a new game with some Stonewallers since I'm not really interested in DCUO or SW: TOR ^_^

Yeah, I hold you personally responsible for piquing my interest in The Secret World. We both have high-end systems (we can run games like Fallout 3/New Vegas and STO on full details settings at 1900 x 1200). I can send you full specs if you need them. As for hours available for gaming, we might have too many, at least in my mind. I've beta tested most of the big name MMOs from EQ through DCUO and played all but a scant handful since UO.

Hey Flounder,

I just spoke with MarkNine and we're both "Very Interested" in beta testing Secret World. We both have pretty good systems and can both put in 10 hours of testing each week. So you can count us both in!

Im putting feelers out for how many people in fleet are wanting to beta the secret world.

There are a few conditions to be met though which is must be able to offer at least 10 hours per week to testing. also your machine must be a fairly good one. (basicaly if your machine doesnt run games good now it probably wont pass the inital test for the beta requirments.

The idea is the beta codes alow you to register and then it will ask to see your spec (no you cant input it it looks for itself) Anyhow I know a couple of peeps are intersted so just wanting to see howe many exactly and then I can aplly for codes.

I did some testing back in November and there was a large amount of folk from the UK doing it too.

I'm looking to get my teeth stuck into the game when it eventually launches but I'm not going to get my hopes up by listening to rumours ;)

problem is its the 29th/30th may now and the star wars website still has it that testing isnt happening yet. Your best bewt is to sign up to the website and register for beta.

Leonard Nimoy is 80. He just hasn't overloaded himself with fake pseudo-youth chemicals the way Shatner has.

I would feel that way too if I had to be reminded of Captain Jerk (Kirk) all the time on tv, too. Besides, it (isn't logical) to be ill-logically cheerful all the time!

Re: Video Cards/Gaming

May 28 2011
I have a custom built comp and every benchmark I've run, they have all said my computer should be able to run STO and most games with ease and at times even mine sounds if its about to grow wings and take off.

My old computer used to do the same, but with a much older card and I was told, as long as the screen still looks ok, the computer still runs it without crashing, it should be ok. That was with my Nvidia 9800GT, the same graphics card Cryptic themselves used for the game.

From what I was told, I wouldn't worry too much about the card as long as it runs the computer still, I was originally told to upgrade the cooling system with a larger and faster fan set.
