I know what you mean, I'm considering ways to cancel Christmas with my family this year, lol.

I remember these images and how freakin long I had to wait for a game to actually be made. I completely didn't even realize that PE was the original producer and then Cryptic started it up again. I just thought it took an extremely long time to produce the game. While there's always room for improvement I'm pretty content with Cryptic's take on STO and I wouldn't trade all the fun content that the team has labored so hard and for so long to bring us, for the very much still only conceptualized ideas that PE never got off the ground. Plus I'd much rather be in the Captain's seat then any other station on the bridge (maybe the helm).

I wonder if I can get a couple days off from work, that's supposed to be a blackout time for time off. I remember and interview with Adam Sessler and the producer of SWTOR from G4 this year at E3 and they asked him when they could expect the release date and he replied; "this year." Cuttin it a little close fellas but fine, I'm so bringing my laptop to Christmas dinner at my Mom's this year lol.

Some shop spilled the beans too when pre-order started. They should have learned not to inform anyone before the official announcement. On the other hand al lot of shops have invented a lot of release dates, so nobody thought it was the real thing this time. I don't think anyone was expecting the release date already.

Yeah I got my Best Buy email hours before the official email came out :) I pre-ordered day 1 so I am stoked about the go live and will be on vacation the week between Christmas and New Years, I am sure you can guess what I will be doing during that time hehe.

As much as I like STO as it is now, it doesn't compare to what could of been from PE. When I first learned that they got the IP and what they wanted to do with it I couldn't of been happier. I will agree that some of the concept ships did look odd like th science ship with a donut saucer, but I think this was an internal concept. The idea of having the essential crew be players was amazing. Where the captain would give orders, navigator would pilot the ship, tactical would deal with the weapons ect. I also loved the ideas of away missions where the medical officer could beam an injured player straight to sickbay. The interiors they showed off were amazing, as well as the concept sketches for different areas of the ship. For alpha they also had a great engine already in place, I never really liked Cryptic's cartoon look. I also like the idea of starting at Starfleet Academy and then being called into active duty. I really wish this made it.

Raiding in WoW is boring now that they nerfed the bosses in Normal and Heroic mode. I can't wait for the game to come out so I can quit wow and concentrate on leveling my Trooper.

sorry I was late in submitting today, been cleaning house which incidentally is a really good fat burning exercise. Especially if it involves scrubbing the kitchen floor and bathroom shower lol.
But my main new exercise at the gym was the rolling plank, try it at your peril but it really does give the best core workout. its like an inverted sit up (sort of)

YAY! I just hope the having is worth more than the wanting or at least as good.

Unfortunately all of my vacation time will be spent in Mid-November when I move to my new place. But releasing it over the holidays will give me some off-time to enjoy it. And to quote Martha Stewart, "that is a good thing." :)

nothing like it happening during the holiday break. almost a month of constant play before college classes start up again.
