At this point I am thinking maybe one big monitor might work best given the amount of space and money I have. Maybe 27" but I'll have to see prices.
I can keep my old monitor as a second monitor but it'll be a different resolution so it wouldn't be for gaming.
I don't totally get the difference between monitors and TVs. Besides that TV have built in receivers, of course. Is the quality of HD tv's as good as you get from monitors these days?

Not sure what that is but I know I do not log into vent (or any other type service) to just chat. I will if we are raiding or there is a particular difficult quest we need to cooridnate on.
I'm probably one of the odd ones who don't like to chit chat over vent while playing. I tend to get to distracted and die alot.

I use 2 ~20" monitors at work, and it works out pretty well. I have a large HP al in one at home, and I can't imagine using a second or especially a third monitor
I imagine having 3 50+ inch monitors all the time. :3
Id love to see a pic of your setup. I used to use a dual monitor setup, but i just dont have the room anymore.

I was in beta a few months ago, but i pretty much stopped playing. Seeing as how the game is so story driven, i didnt want to get too far ahead. I only played about the first 10 levels of all the classes (minus smuggler, cause who really want to be a smuggler..) to help me decide what i like.. Unfortunately... i like them all. :(

Oh I get enough of those already and I'm only 7 years younger. But Simpsons still has it's moments. I love how they have a flat screen in the living room instead of the old box and the kids have cell phones and Homer texts. :lol:
I never even noticed the flat screen. I'll have to pay more attention next time I watch it, which will probably be whenever the Halloween episode comes on ;) I know Matt Groening was commenting just recently about how Bart has had something like 3 separate 10th birthdays.

I'm wondering if forum registration and activity have anything to do with the selection process. I have a friend and a co-worker who have both applied for the test, but not seen anything yet in any of the invitation waves, not even weekend tests. Neither of them are registered on the SWTOR forums (until recently when my friend decided to finally register), and wonder if that has affected their invitation candidacy.

Is there guild set up on the beta server, I saw Old Timers Guild running round so it must be possible.
I haven't found us, yet, so I started rolling with a group called "Synergy".
I've had to check them a few times for comments,
"What's wrong with being a gaymer/tv/ts?"
"Nothing, I didn't say anything was wrong with it."
But I attribute that more to them having absolutely no standards when recruiting. They seem to be more concerned with getting numbers and recruiting everyone within earshot (in general) who can hear them.
For most intents and purposes, they're a nice lot, and I stay around for the company and so I can keep them honest. :p
That seems to happen to alot guilds that have no formal application and let anyone in who can post on the forums. Thankfully it's only beta and you guys won't have to endure it for to much longer.
Have fun in Beta! I've given up hope on getting an invite and set my eyes on 12/20. Hugz

Im only looking to spend 250 or less, unless i actually wait until next year and use my tax refund. The problem is that im not sure my card will like SWTOR or Diablo 3. I can play Crysis 2, but i get a warning every time i run the game and i dont get very good performance.

The Simpsons did change a lot over the years but it's gotten better in recent years again. I don't watch it all the time but I find it a comfort that it's always been there through most of my life.
You get to a certain age, thigh, where it's no longer a comfort and just reminds you you're old ;)

None of Mike's characters have unlocked the ships yet, so I have yet to actually see any of them in game, much less see the layout. Looking forward to it though.
I got to run around in a sith's ship once... and promptly got lost.
It's not an excessively big ship, it's actually no larger than the rest, it's just more confusing. I had to keep bringing up the map.
