i happily did NOT get an invite. I can wait 2 weeks. Better to work on my actual characters than spend a weekend on another throwaway toon. (not that it wouldnt be fun). :)

Another thing, though this one most of you probably know...

Diplomacy (the crew mission skill) actually lets you earn additional dark or light side points! Certain gear is only usable if you have reached a certain dark or light side level.

Here's two more for the list...

Space battles (which I really enjoy) get much easier when you hit 16 and can buy shields and a shield generator. It's still totally doable before that, but obviously a hull and no shields ain't ideal.

I am jealous of all you people who actually gained a spaceship =/

aw... well for what its worth, I was in beta 2 different weekends. both times I got to the point where I had a ship for about 2 hours before the end of beta. pretty cool though... and it's only 2 more weeks or so...

Got my e-mail invite as well. All patched up and ready to go!

Not sure if my Smuggler or Jedi Knight will be there but if not, not big whoop - I know I goofed up on some gameplay mechanics last week so's this will give me a chance to do it right this time!

I'll be having dinner with the folks tomorrow but hopefully I can log in later and do some questing with some fellow Stonewallers - didn't get that opportunity last weekend. :(

I *want* to watch this, but I get scared *way* too easily. I tried watching the trailer for the show and had to turn it off. I need someone to watch it with me. :(

Same here I stumpled upon two of them, one while doing the first set of heroics on the home planet and then one in the under city.

The one on the started planet was way out of the way on top of some mt that I would have never thought to go to. I just saw something glowing and had to go investigate. The one in the under city was right out in the open.

Some are incredibly easy and yet incredibly fun at the same time. One in Coruscant requires you to drop onto a ledge, run around to an abandoned taxi and then (it) drive(s itself) to a little gondola beneath the main taxi platform where you get a Datacron. :)

Some require you to go completely out of the area and then "ledge" hop back.

On Tatooine there is one that, again, you have to drop onto a little ledge and then go through a cave that is lousy with sand people (although some people cheat and lure them to the ledge and use a knockback power to get rid of them) and you end up coming out of a cave mouth above the original level you left.

Not even a keen eye will show you the way, sometimes.

Maybe we can start a list somewhere, where we can keep a record of where these are located - for we clueless and/or lazy slobs :silly:

We have a group of us that watch it. If I watch it alone I do tend to follow it with something fluffy to 'cleanse' my imagination.

Try the ITV 2 gameshow "Celebrity Juice"

That can cleanse your mind of just about anything. ;)

(Love that show. xD)

I will continue playing Jaikura if he is still there...If not, I will make another toon with that name. :)

Adam - He should still be there, so far they have not wiped any avatars from the past 2 beta weekends. See you this weekend!

Woot, just checked the email and it was there! I'll be on Friday nite and Saturday nite and of course sunday!

I am not moving all weekend, well except to do the essential things like bio break and eat and walking the pups :P

BTW - There are several big patches that have come out since the weekend, so I recommend opening the client at least once a day to keep up, will be less to download for the weekend :)

Hell, I am loading SWTOR on my work PC so I can login on early start and make all my toons - I know thats cheating right?

LOL nope just lucky!! I think work would hand me a pink slip if I even thought abuot downloading a game onto their system.

Forget downloading at work, I am putting it on a stick and copying it from my main system to my work system... Saves all of that download time again LOL :P

Or bringing in my laptop that already has the software as well :) I just want to be part of launch day headaches LMAO

I find that option in most mmo's, just use the scroll button on the mose to zoom in and out.

I tried it but kind of makes me quezzy and I found it hard to see things around me.

The latter makes sense: reserving the name on your account, then deleting it when your friend is ready to play.

The only thing I'd worry about is having someone reserve my name, then I get installed and ready to play, but have to wait for my friend to get home from work 5 hours later so they can delete the character and I can claim my name. But I'm just impatient that way. ;-)

That is the way it would work.

I would reserve names for folks but I have to work on the 15th, I may get out early but there is no guarantee so you will have to wait till I get home before I can delete the toons with the saved names.
