Stepmom of one my favorite movies to watch when I'm in a slump. But it is just such a good movie. But I'm weird that way, cause when I'm sick, I watch the SAW movies.

This may have been mentioned already. Crafting materials in ship/base storage are still available for crafting wherever you are :).

At one point in beta, there was a cross-faction GTN, but I think they scrapped it.

I just made it to Nar Shaddaa and ran across the 'Hutta Trade Network', iirc on the Promenade Marketplace. I did see both Sith and Republic items for sale so I'm thinking both factions can access this trade network.

Heaven and Earth, the Oliver Stone Vietnam-era film from a Vietnamese woman's perspective. It's the best movie that I will never see again. I still felt emotionally jarred days after watching it.

Movies that made you cry...

December 24 2011
I recently purchased the movie Resurrection with Ellen Burstyn, a movie I've been trying to find on DVD forever. In it Ellen's character briefly dies but is brought back to life only to discover she can heal people. That one always gets me teary-eyed. Another little known flick is 'night Mother with Sissy Spacek and Anne Bancroft. It was originally a broadway play that they adapted for this movie. Sissy's character tells her mother (Anne) that she is going to commit suicide, so the whole movie is the mother trying to talk her out of it. Some others that I can think of:

Terms of Endearment - Duh, this one's a given.

Avatar - Those bastards shot down the home tree!! :(

Never Let Me Go - This one really got to me. The premise of the movie is kind of silly, cloned children being raised so their organs can be harvested when they're adults, but damn this one really had me sobbing, not just teary-eyed, I was full-on sobbing. Getting all choked up now just thinking about it.

The Color Purple - OK, if you didn't cry when her sister came back from Africa, then you're pretty much dead inside. :P

Well that's all I can think of off-hand. What about you guys?

I believe the /Stonewall channel is just for Lords of Stonewall invites... not a broader cross-Empire LGBT chat channel. Stonewall shouldn't be shared with non-guild players (I believe).

As someone who makes their living off of IP (first as a designer, now as a project manager in publishing), I agree with you whole heartedly. There are enough tools available now for protection of copyrighted material.

I'm a little concerned at the casting of IP-owners as bullies in the video. Just as a Mom & Pop shop has the right to sue a shoplifter, the IP-holders have the right to sue for their stolen work. Whether they've got a $20,000 a year business or a $2,000,000 a year business, they are the victim when it comes to piracy.

That said, I agree that SOPA, and the Net Neutrality powers that the FCC essentially gave itself this summer, are major warning klaxons to me when it comes to freedom of expression. Any ability for an entity to shut down a competitor, be it political or commercial completely skews, what I believe, to be the greatest gifts our country has given.

OK, I think I get it. When it takes me back to main page at the bottom is the Add Character tool. But you have to, at least initially, manually input info.

Order of Lumara on Rubat Crystal is another one. They were placed on an RP server and decided to stay put. Really nice group of players.

First, let me say that I am all for people protecting their Intellectual Property. I'm also for protecting people from shady foreign drug outfits that sell US consumers harmful "medicines".

However, this bill is not the answer. I've read it in-depth. There are parts that are broad enough that it invites abuse and can be used in ways that are far more harmful than good.

The ramifications are far too impacting to just let this one go. So, I urge you all to contact you're Congress representatives and let them know how you feel.

Open your Abilities panel ("p"). Each of your abilities will be categorized as Active, Passive, Melee, Ranged, Force, or Tech (I think I got them all). Active is for abilities that you need to activate but that aren't attacks (e.g., stances such as Stealth). Passive is for abilities that are always on and generally modify other abilities (e.g., constant increased healing effectiveness). Melee and Ranged abilities are attacks that don't rely on Force or Tech. These sorts of abilities are not affected by No Holds Barred. Force and Tech are abilities that depend on Force or Tech, respectively.

I hope that helps.

No Holds Barred!!!!

December 23 2011
So, I have a smuggler skill called No Holds Barred (tree skill).
It reads.. "No Holds Barred
Increases ranged and tech critical chance by [2 / 4 / 6]%."

But how do I know which of my skills are ranged or tech?
I've read healing skills are tech. that's good!

But I have various skills, like my beloved Back Blast, that I have no idea if they are affected or not. And no way of knowing in-game that I can see.

Any ideas? (I should prolly post this on the swtor forums as well)
Thanks in advance!

SWTOR Companion Gift Guide

December 23 2011
Hey all!

So, I only looked through the forums quickly, but thought I'd toss this up as a resource in case others needed it - it's especially difficult to figure out what Khem Val wants for Valentines Day .... other than freshly torn out hearts. So, I came across this:

(a link to GoogleDocs - I did test it)

SWTOR Companion Gift Guide

or this:

Enjoy!
