I still think "Stonewall Community of Gamers" (SCoG) should be added to the poll. :3

Just to say that, with so many options, and with so many options getting at least one vote, it seems fair that there should be a runoff vote of top contenders after this poll closes.

I just started to try for these last night. Went back to Tython and got all of those easily enough, then to Coruscant where I had trouble with that pipe one in The Works, but I figured out how to do the jumps after about 10 tries. Taris was fairly easy, except for the two man one, still need to do that. The more aggravated I get, the bigger the gratification I feel when I end up getting it. That's why these things are so insidious, they keep you coming back for more punishment! I'm off to Tattoine today to get all of those.

How about this...you could make a company that bottles this stuff up, then give away lots of promotional gift cards good for buying the air to companies who can then give them out as perks for buying their stuff. As the bottling company, it'd be an advertising write off and then in the end, people buy what you wanted in the first place: your air. It works out better because you can write off the expense of the cards. I think this was just done with the oil cleanup down in FL. Oil company fined lots of money and had to provide restitution to FL. So it provided lots of gas cards which the state then gave away. So people used the gas cards to buy gas, which brought in customers to buy other things.

Now onto more important things...

Re: Chat Channels

January 02 2012
When you go into the Chat Settings where you choose what channels you want visible, you can click on the channel colour on the left and it will give you a range of colours to choose from.

As for moving to the custom channel, I wouldn't do it today, but we may need to disable guild chat and rely on the custom channel in future once we have an Alt guild. The officers are figuring out how the Alt guild will work at the moment, and we will post details of what the plan is soon.

Specs?

January 02 2012
For those of you who have reached max level (or are close to it), would you mind sharing your class, your primary focus (PvE or PvP), role (tank, dps, heal), and a list or screenshot of your spec tree?

I think it would really help the membership if we have some sort of example to go by rather than just choosing abilities at random (Oh, I'm a healer but those DPS abilities sound so cool, let me use my points up in those!).

Chat Channels

January 02 2012
With KoS quickly approaching the cap of members, I am assuming we are going to create a alt guild or something of the sort, however, I've noticed that we tend to chat using the green "Guild" channel. Isn't that going to be a problem since we would want to be able to communicate with both the main and alt guilds?

Shouldn't we start getting in the habit of using the Stonewall channel sooner than later?

On a related note, is it possible to change the "Stonewall" chat color from that horrible yellow?

I can get you some of the finest Appalachian Mountain air that you've ever inhaled. Sealed in personalized high quality plastic container to guarantee freshness. Experience the amazing aroma of one of the most rugged and beautiful regions in the world. Just 14,99999.

We can take a page from the Spaceballs movie and call it "Perri-Air". We just need to think of a cause for the proceeds to go to. Those rich people love anything that can be considered a charitable contribution!

Awesome!!

A few years back, when I lived in LA, I went to see "Music from the Movies Under the Stars" at Hollywood Bowl, conducted by John Williams. At the end, he conducted several Star Wars pieces - and about 30% of the audience brought out light sabers, and there was a group that was circling the audience, "participating" with the music. It was amazing - both the audience participation, and the music with John Williams live! Will never forget it!!

Tried to add character but just get the message "Please Wait" forever when I save it.

If I leave it for long enough, it actually goes away (minutes). But also, if you wait a few seconds and refresh, your character will probably show up properly saved. I find it takes less time to edit than it does to save a new character, too.

I woke up and had this idea so I rushed online to post. How about Stonewall Equality Gaming Alliance. The acronym would be SEGA which is fitting due to it being a gaming system many of us probably played growing up. A website address could simply be www.stonewallega.com

One of the main reasons why I'm not a big fan of 'Stonewall Gaming Community' is because of its commonality.

There's the Rough Trade Gaming Community, the Praxis Gaming Network, The Tactical Gaming Community, Apocolapse Gaming Community, The GNG Adult Gaming Community, Atrix Entertainment Gaming Community and there are about a few thousand others. Everyone, and their dog, has a "gaming community".

"Gaming communities" is a very generic, unoriginal, unimaginative name. I'd like to think that we're more unique and creative than that. We do things differently than most 'gaming communities' and we go out of our way to do things the best, most logical way instead of just 'the way that guilds do it.' I think our name should reflect that.

It's sort of like sliced bread. First there was just the one company selling it, now they're all over the place. Sheesh. :3

It's popular because it's a good term. People like to feel like they're part of a community, they would also like to feel that they can have an identifier to set their community apart from the standard definition. Viola, "Gaming community" :) Obviously, not everyone can be a part of the "Dog groomers gaming community" so they create their own.

It's not a bad thing to be a gaming community, it's actually rather nice; it feels nice to be a part of a community. :)

I imagine that that is why Stonewall Gaming Community has the most votes. Go with the people, you may not feel that the majority knows best, but its what the majority wants. ;)

Personally, I like feeling that I'm part of a community.

Maybe Stonewall Community of Gamers? :) (SCoG! :3)
