Ok, let me say that ahead, I really love the guild and everyone here, ingame and in the forums. Even though I am not sooo active in the forums, but in the game.
That said, I think I must emphasize that in my personal view both the game SWTOR as well as the guild has come into a sort of crisis, and my will to keep this MMO subscribing is sort of unsecure. I mean, I had a blast with levelling 2 chars to level 50 now and some other chars to mid levels, but now logging into Republic, all too often I am either alone or 2-3 people are online, even at evening times. The situation with Empire "LoS" is a bit better, 8-10 people at prime time, but that surely isn't anything to built a future on.
I am *really* not endgame fixated, but as it is, I haven't seen a single operation, hardly any guild Warzone or Hardmode action. Now mind ya, I respect not everyone wants everything, and I don't want to turn the guild into anything different than the relaxed circle of friends that it is. But when we had ~80 people online in the first month and we dropped to a handful, I think we should discuss options.
One thing I would like to know is, if so many left to some other guilds or if people just stopped playing SWTOR altogether? With so few numbers, I feel I am just missing a whole lot of content. Essentially I haven't made more than 2-3 heroic quests for almost 2 months, since so few guildies and also since the JekkJekk Thar server is kinda bleeding subs. At prime time planets like Voss or Corellia had 10-15 people online!
The question is, what do we do? Do we form common chat channels with other GLBT-friendly guilds to pool our ressources? How realistic is it, that people will actually use such a channel? Or should we rather try to merge with other GLBT-friendly guilds? I mean, I understand THAT is a hot topic for some, but tbh. in my advanced age of 41, I care little about powergames anymore. I just want plenty of nice people around me to get some stuff done. These days I feel like I felt after 5 years playing EVERQUEST II, when most people I knew had left or stopped playing, and I found myself standing in Qeynos days and hours waiting for some group or endgame stuff to happen. It was not fun to stand and wait and do nothing, I tell ya. So I really don't want to dramatize this, just calm and reasonable see the options. I just see a lot of content I would want to experience, that requires groups, and I don't see that anymore at all. Plus, with such mini numbers even a friendly chat is getting rare.
Please understand I love this guild and the people here, but I really don't like to stand around bored in a MMO. ;)
