It looks like you could do that Nick. You don't have to actually buy the game (digital download) and as long as you don't go above about the end of level 14 with any character you create (which may even allow you to get your ship :P ) you can continue to log in without an active subscription. The only issue might be is they're not saying if you'd be able to join a guild which is my only concern. I know with the other free trials they're listing you couldn't join any guilds so not sure if that is also a limitation with this free trial.:) WOW does this too but lets you go to level 20. Blizz gives you the extra levels because the top level in that game is currently 85.

I've been looking forward to this so I can log in and help out if need be, but I'm a bit disappointed. If I ever decide to buy the game then let my account expire, I won't be able to log back in again without purchasing a subscription. :(

I found it quite interesting that they've started this along with a few other things that are looking more and more like desperate bribery attempts. :laugh: If you have an active account and transfer to the new server before 7/30/12, all your transferred characters will get a new in-game pet as well as 25 Black Hole Commendations. Nothing like a handful of the highest commendations available in-game to get some action going again. I sincerely hope it works for them. :)

The Star Wars: The Old Republic Free Trial allows individuals, without a previously active Star Wars: The Old Republic game account, to see a portion of what the game has to offer with no payment method required.
Free Trial participants will experience the opening adventures of each of the eight character classes in the game. Players will explore their classes' Origin World, and may even have the opportunity to visit their faction’s Capital World! Additionally, Free Trial players will have the chance to face off against other players in Player-vs.-Player Warzones, or join up with friends and play through a Flashpoint.

FINALLY got access to a server (Landroval). Seems like it's going to be a fun game, glad that it seems to play a lot like Champions. This is my first non-Cryptic game.

Aah, no problem. Sorry for the lengthy response before. Right now, I am the only Officer that is playing regularly. Halish did transfer 2 of his characters but they are both Republic and he is not on very often mostly due to being very busy in real life, I believe.

No apologies or excuses needed, people play or do not, and it can be sporadic in some games. I should know i have STO,SWTOR, and diablo3 now. Soon i hope to be beta'ing mechwarrior online and planetside 2, not to mention i may play phantasy online 2 next year.
