I'm glad that you enjoyed the event, and thank you for participating! We'll likely use the mission itself as a template for future fleet events for Halloween or similarly themed occasions, perhaps with some map layout and story changes :D

I don't know how many of you have noticed but dungeon completion is also part of the November monthly achievement (which gives a whole lot of karma for finishing!), so running more dungeons would be awesome!

Changes to the guild

November 03 2012
Hello everyone,

I wanted to start by congratulating each and everyone one of you! Stonewall Vanguard is now a fully “maxed-out” guild. We have completed every tier for each upgrade category and have also built every upgrade available to us.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about you should open up the guild window (press “g” or use the button at the top left of your screen) and go to the “upgrades” tab.

Thank you all for playing the game and earning all the influence to make this happen!

------

Guild Boots & Consumables

While you’re on the upgrades tab of the guild window, you’ll notice we have a lot of built guild boosts and upgrades to use. Up until now I have restricted access to this to Majors and Commanders but due to the lack of activity from our leadership team they have pretty much gone unused except for the few boosts I activate myself over the weekends.

I have decided to open the use of these up to all of our you who are currently at the “member” rank.

I would ask that common sense is used here and only active a boost if you know there is a lot of people who are going to be online in the guild and will be able to take advantage of it. Boosts can take quite a lot of time to build (though they are fairly cheap in terms of influence) so if you activate them all right now it would take quite a while to replace them.

As a guide I would ask that you try and not activate more than 3 at any time.

As for the consumables, these don’t just benefit Stonewall Vanguard but can be used by players of Guild Wars 2 at large. As such I would encourage you to throw down a banner if you are in a event or place which has a lot of active people, even if they aren’t members of our guild.

Again I would ask that you use common sense and only use these in the right situations. If you burn through them they’ll take time to replace. Saying that, without the need to build long guild upgrades, I will try and keep a steady stream of these coming as you use them. We’ll just have to see how it pans out.

If you’re planning on doing an event and need a certain consumable available to you or you would like to let me know that you have used one then please reply to this thread and let me know. I will try to get your request ready for when you need it.

Guild Banks

Currently we have the Treasure Trove and Deep Cave open to everyone who is at the member rank. But the Guild Stash has been restricted to Majors and Commanders with items been available for request if needed.

This was to protect more valuable items from hacked accounts or malicious members who could take all the items and make a quick buck. But I don’t think a single soul as requested an item from the Guild Stash and to be honest the items in there aren’t exactly gold dust, so I have decided to open all the banks to everyone who is at “member” rank.

This comes with the risk that I stated above but I think so far people have acted with maturity and common sense while using the guild banks and I trust you all to continue in this vein.

Events

I have never been shy about admitting that running events isn’t exactly one of my strong suits. I had hoped that the Majors and Commanders I appointed would have organised a lot more events for you all to attend.

Most of my Majors have been inactive for over well over a fortnight without even logging onto the website. As such I have decided to demote them and move forward, and would like to request that if any of you are interested in running events and feel you would benefit from being part of the leadership team, to consider applying to become a commander or major.

If you have applied before and are still interested then please consider applying again.

Please read these threads if you’re interested:

Becoming a Commander
Becoming a Major

Some of our members have started running their own events and I would like to thank them for their initiative and also encourage you all to attend. There’s a lot of fun to be had in Tyria!

------

I have spoke about the need to be of the “member” rank in-game for the added ability it gives and if you feel you’re at the wrong rank I’d ask you to read this thread: /forums/the-vanguard-herald/50344-are-you-the-correct-rank-in-game

Thanks and congratulations again!

Guild Boosts and Consumables

November 03 2012
As I have discussed in this post, I am making some changes in regards to who can activate built guild consumables. Now every player who is of "member" rank or higher can now take advantage of these guild bonuses.

If you would like to request that a certain boost or consumable is built then please let me know by replying to this thread. I will try and accommodate your request as best as I can.

If you have used a guild boost or consumable then you can also let me know by replying to this thread. This may make it easier for me to know which I need to replace.

Thanks,

Halish

Dungeon Runs

November 03 2012
Hi, another guild friend and I just hit level 80 and were thinking of doing some dungeon runs. :) We've completed AC but were thinking of going through story and explore for each subsequent dungeon afterwards. I'm not sure if Stonewall Vanguard has calendars for things like dungeon events, and sorry if this isn't the appropriate place to post. Nevertheless, we were thinking of starting Sunday, November 4 at 1pm Pacific time and anyone else is welcome to join. The more the merrier!

You can catch me as character name "Ataroku" or account name "sentry.3256". Hope to see some others there!
